Previously...On My Friend...

Mel is being trained by her dad!! It's important! Zalgo is coming any day now! So she needs to be ready to help defend the secrete cave when he comes! Apparently Trevor might like Mel?! Like what?! It's complicated and she's taken.....

*Mel pov*

I watched Trevor walk off and turned m attention back to dad. I hope he'll be OK...

"So..maby it would be better if we started out with you in something skin tight." Dad turned to Henry. "I'll be right back." Dad disappeared and Henry pushed him self off the wall and walked over to me.

"Hey!" He waved as he got closer. I waved back. "So uh...yeah." He rubbed the back of his neck and looked up at the ceiling. I looked down at the ground.

"Yeah." He made a sort of half laugh noise. I looked up. "What?" He shook his head. "What!" I crossed my arms. "What is it!"

"Nothing, nothing." He smiled at the ground and laughed a bit.

"Well, obviously it's something, c'mon! Tell me!" I whined. He looked back up at me.

"It's just, i was wondering if you kept looking for me, you know, after the month." I looked away.

*flashback*

"If we're going to be around each other, i want to set up some serious ground rules." Henry lead me out of the alley and down the street. I picked up my pace to keep up with him.

"OK! What did you have in mind?" I smiled up at him. He looked down at me then back up at the deserted sidewalk.

"You already know the first rule; No affection. I've agreed to train you, not take you in." I looked away and nodded.

"Got it. No affection." We walked around a pan-handler and into an alley.

"Next rule; If it takes you more then a week to master a new skill, you're on your own." He turned down a side road and led us to an abandoned building. He put his ear to the door before leaning down and picking the lock.

"Don't worry! I'm a fast learner!" I followed him inside. It was a warehouse.

"Final rule; If we get separated for any time longer then a month, forget about me." He stopped in front of a large stack of boxes and squinted at the labels.

"What!? But-"

"No buts, if you and i get separated for a month or longer than i don't know you and you don't know me." He pulled his pocket knife, swung around and idly pointed it at me. "Understand?"
