*Mel pov*

    I stared up at this guy behind me. He was wearing a black t-shirt and jeans.

    "I-I-I uh um." I was lost for words.

    "I'm Steven."

    "Mel."

    "Mel, that's a nice name."

    "Well so is Steven." We stared at eachother awkwardly for a few seconds before a small group of people came running up.

    "Hey Steven, who's that?" A guy with black hair and dark green eyes asked.

    "This is Mel."

    "Hey Mel, I'm Shelby." A girl with long dirty blond hair and very dark brown eyes smiled at me.

    "I'm Riley and that's Coal, Sadie, and Dylan." The black haired guy gestured to two girls and a guy. Sadie had short dirty blond hair with black and white streaks and blue eyes. Dylan had long brown hair with teal streaks in it and gold-ish  amber eyes. Coal had short cleanly cut black hair and amber eyes. All of them looked around my age.

    "So are you new around here? I haven't seen you at school." Dylan pointed out. Oh no they're on to me!

    "Oh uh um I uh....I've lived here a while and uh I'm home schooled." I finnaly managed to spit out. Steven's phone rang. He answered it and bunch of yelling could be heard on the other end of the line. After a few minutes of yelling he hung up.

    "Sorry guys I got to go, see you all later." He waved goodbye as he ran off into the town.

    "Sooo you wanna hang out sometime?" Shelby pulled out her phone.

    "Ya I'd love to except, I can't give you my number cuz I don't have a phone." I looked down.

    "Is your family going through hard times?" Riley asked. I looked up. Hard times? That'll help explain allot...

    "Ya." I looked down.

    "It's cool, my family's going through hard times to." Riley put his hand on my shoulder. I looked up and smiled at him.

    "Let's meet at the park. Saturday?" Coal asked. We all nodded.

    "Ok well I got to go, see you guys around." I waved as I walked away. They waved back. I ran into a alley and changed into slenderwoman then teleported back to the tree. I looked down at my clothes. They were torn and filthy. Looks like I need new ones. I teleported back to the alley and changed back. It took me a while but I finally found a small clothing store that had a dressing room. I chose out lots of shirts and skinny jeans and some baggy clothes that would fit human me and slenderwoman me. I also got some extra large clothes just for when I'm slenderwoman and a large black hoodie. When I was satisfied with what I had chosen I went to the dressing room. I changed back into my slender form and put on a loose black t-shirt and black skinny jeans. I teleported back to the tree. My tree. I put my new clothes in my back pack and watched the sun set. After it set I stretched out on a long branch and closed my eyes. Right before I fell asleep, I felt somthing brush my side. I swatted at it and it went away for a second before it quickly wrapped around me. My eyes shot open and I saw what was attacking me. Tentacles, long black tentacles. I looked down. Slenderman was down there, and he was trying to grab me. Nope. I wiggled out of his grip, grabbed my backpack, and teleported back to that alley. I changed back to my human form and rolled up the cuffs of my pants and threw on a belt. I ran away from the alley in the opposite direction of the forest and slept in an empty dumpster(don't judge).
