Friends
Or
FamilyThe ones you met one day by talking
Or
The ones who raised youThe ones who text you
Or
The ones who call youThe ones who you say I love you
Or
The ones who you call you homiesBoth of them bought food for you
I'm not doubting they care
I bet you gotta show them a piece of your mind
And had a billion words to say
Both proud
And stand firmBut
What if...
One lonesome cold night
A voice told you to choose
Confused yet desperateYour family became vegans
Joined a college
Worked there ass off
At the end, they said
Dear
Honey
Child
Kid
OtherWhat will we do?
No one is here to say
Should we call those who never speak
Or make new friends as they doOne day after all of this happened
A light shone through the window
And in all separate rooms
Little lonely voicesChoose.
