embarrassment
Hello, have you ever wondered
what's it's like
for embarrassment to come around the corner and smuggle you like a blanket
It wraps around your throat too,
so the only sound you make are cries and screams
desperation rings when you can't even hear the ding
It showers over your head,
soaking you making sure it gets you covered
like a pool
A pool where if you are too shallow
or to deep
It drowns you
You sink down,
thinking 'why' or 'how'
But over my years of embarrassment
I've learned it's better not to think
But almost listen
Because everyone won't remember what happened on what day and who did it
So just listen
And not to yourself, but for hope
Hope is like a sprinkler
grazing along until it hits you
And sometimes you take a leap, and sometimes hope is too quick to catch
So with embarrassment; just hope
That's all you can do
