The Smell of Love

People say you can't sniff it
Or you can't see it
But there are ways to smell love, no matter what anybody says
The smell of cologne on your shirt collar
Red cherry lipstick stained on napkins
Red roses for each done time they loved
Smelling the sweat of them on a hot day
Perfume everywhere except you
Alcohol sitting on the beside table
The spray of a water fountain in France
Cheesy jokes that are so terrible you can smell it in the air
Awkward tension
Will never end
