kazuha was wondering why there was a young girl swimming in the riverbank at such early hours in the morning. he had his cloth around his mouth to cover his nose and mouth, and so nobody could really see his face. he loosened it just to breathe a little, and nodded to himself.
hm, kids these days are more and more amazing. getting up at such an early hour to practice swimming, thats good discipline.
of course, that person wasnt swimming.
yes that person was you.
you weren't swimming, you were actually drowning.
"h-hEy! can yOu hElP mE pLeaSe!" you screamed, trying your best to flap around like a bird that just got dunked into the water. "i'm not swimming i'm actually drowning!"
kazuha just blinked. he falsely complimented this young girl for swimming at such an early time of the day when you were actually just drowning. honestly, he sighed and got off his horse and tied the reins to the tree branch.
he removed some of his clothes, starting with his cloth around his face and jumped into the water. he swam towards you at such a high speed you almost didnt even notice you were already out of the water.
kazuha placed your soaking wet body on the mud and you coughed your lungs out. kazuha sighed, and he didnt even look like he was out of breath at all. he just casually dried himself and put his clothes and cloth back on — he didnt even care that it would get wet again.
you coughed and sputtered. "thank you.... whew i thought i was gonna die..."
kazuha eyed you up and down — you didnt seem to be wearing the normal village girl attire, which was a simple kimono, instead you were dressed in shorts and ribbons tied around your waist with a single skirt pleating down to your knee, and your shoes — you had a small blade strapped between the fabric of your socks.
