you recently went to sumeru for a little expedition, and ever since you came back, youve been feeling like your lungs have been feeding itself dust instead of air. no matter how much air you inhale you seem to always be out of breath. honestly you must have caught something from sumeru but you couldnt be sure, and you didnt want to blame sumeru.
you were catching your breath when venti came up and slapped you on the back. you coughed, and a single petal flew out of your mouth. venti blinked and caught it. "oh wow, youre coughing petals now? dendro powers really are getting amazing." venti joked.
you hit your chest a little and inhaled in air. "yeah, i guess so. ive been feeling super out of breath lately."
venti giggled, tossing the petal to the side and sitting beside you on the bench. he had a bottle in his hand, and he took a sip every time you coughed. "so, how was sumeru? not great i suppose since youre coughing up petals."
"sumeru was great okay! i got to see all my old friends," you protested, coughing a little once more. this time you coughed up two flower petals, and venti took two long sips of his wine. you nudged him to stop. "geez cant you be any more insulting?"
"sorry y/n, drinking is my hobby. if i could marry wine i would~" venti's eyes sparkled as he caressed the bottle in his hand, kissing it. you felt your stomach turn, and you coughed a little more violently this time. you coughed up a few petals and soon, you managed to hurl out a full flower. venti was a little stunned. "woah y/n, you good?"
