guys i cant thank yall enough for the tremendous amounts of support yall have given me both in real life and book wise.
its the start of a new adventure now.
you were nervous, super nervous... very nervous? well, nervous times a hundred. you just kept staring into the mirror, checking every single part of your face and body, unable to satisfy your eyes. the longer you stared, the uglier the gown got, or the messier your hair got. you couldnt help but glance over towards your friends getting ready.
amber had a gorgeous blood red gown adorned with white ribbons that tied very well with her silver jewellery. she was beaming, practically shining underneath the lights. her makeup made her face pop, and her heels sparkled.
beside amber was shenhe, and just like amber, she was absolutely ethereal. her silver white hair was tucked into a beautiful braid that cascaded along her slender back, the ends put together with a red ribbon along with a single bell. her white dress was peppered with white and blue roses — expensive roses. her glowing blue eyes matched her glass heels.
you were almost sweating, but you couldnt afford to sweat now or the makeup that took almost two hours would go to waste. you kept fanning yourself with your hands, it didnt help that you were wearing gloves either. it was just so humid in here, and your excess panic wasnt helping.
"girls are you ready yet? the prince is gonna arrive soon hurry hurry hurry!" kirara slammed the door opened and pretty much ran inside with a box in her hand. she approached you first, extending her arms out for you to look inside the box. "any last minute jewellery needed? y/n?"
you shook your head quickly and kirara wasted no time in turning towards amber and shenhe to ask the same question.
you took a breath. everyone was stressed. prince ayato and his sister princess ayaka would be visiting your kingdom. your kingdom! when the news spread, the entire kingdom organised a grand ball just to welcome them. everyone needed to attend the ball dressed to the nines, and no mistakes were allowed to be made this night.
you wanted to hyperventilate. you've never seen prince ayato before in your life, you've only ever heard of his name in stories and from the mouths of the knights — but today you were about to see him in person and that was absolutely amazing and scary.
maybe thats why you were so panicky.
"y/n!" kirara shouted. you jumped. "ive been calling your name for so long! here, pick one!" kirara held up two ribbons in front of you — one black and one white.
