Bucky Barnes-2

Imagine being a Hydra assassin and fighting Bucky who helps your remember again.

Blood drips from the corners of Bucky's mouth as you punch him square in the jaw. You're determined to finish the mission without any mistakes along the way. Hatred bubbles up from within you as fury burns bright in your eyes. Those eyes were once filled with love and compassion, but all of that's gone now. You whip out your knife and throw it at Bucky, but he simply dodges it with expertise.

"Y/N!" He yells as loud as he can in effort to grasp your attention. "This isn't the real you!" He says as he ducks to avoid a direct hit from you. You stumble forward, but quickly regain your composure and deliver a crushing blow to Bucky's ribs. He winces and spits out some blood as he falls to the floor.

"Y/N please!" Bucky begs as he crawls backwards in fear. "It's only me, Bucky!" He says. His voice is filled with anguish and his face is covered in sweat and blood. "Who's Bucky?" You question sharply. His face drops as he stares at you in disbelief.

"No...not you too." Bucky mumbles, his words barely audible. "Hydra." "Hail Hydra." You correct him. Bucky whips his head up and stares at you in pure horror.

"No." He gasps as he fights to stand up. You grab your other knife, poised to fight. "Don't you remember?" Bucky asks, heartbreak clear in his voice. "Remember what?" You snap. Bucky looks at you sadly. "That I love you." He says quietly. You walk towards him and punch him hard, causing him to stagger backwards. You follow and kick his shins and he falls to the floor yet again. Bucky cries out in pain when you step on his good arm, breaking the fragile bone. You crouch down to his level, almost enjoying the pain that's present on his face.

"I love you." Bucky says through clenched teeth. You sit there motionless. None of your training has ever prepared you for something like this. What were you supposed to do? Your "mission" just claimed to love you. How is that even possible?

Seizing your moment of confusion, Bucky pushes himself over to you and kisses you softly. "I love you." He repeats once more. A new emotion fills the gaping hole inside you, was it compassion? Love? Whatever it was, it surely wasn't hate. Bucky pulls you into a strong embrace with his metal arm.

"Bucky." You say slowly as you start to remember everything that happened with him. "Y/N." Bucky responds. Hydra erased your memory and sent you off to kill your lover, an ex Hydra agent, I guess nobody can ever just escape from Hydra. "I'm so sorry Bucky." You mumble as you realize that you almost killed him. "I'm just glad you're back." Bucky replies quietly.

All the memories rush back to you as you return the hug. "I love you too Bucky." You say, squeezing your eyes shut as you bury your head into his shoulder. He runs his hand through your hair and smiles faintly.
