'Wow, Country Club on the Cut for something other then drugs! I' m for real surprise.', Rafe tighten his fist slowly breathing in and out to contain his anger.

'Barry don't play me. I need to hide right fucking now.', he sat down forming a line on the poor kitchen table in front of him. But before he could take in the cocaine, Barry had grab him by his collar, pulling him away from the drug.

'I have a plan, dog. But no drug, you hear me. I' m not kidding here.', Barry walked out, quickly sending away the few people he had comating around. Frustrated, Rafe followed like a lost puppy. Once in his car, he let Barry drive him away while he was careful to lay low.

'Okay, you listen to me now. I'm gonna go first and come back to you in a few minutes. Once I'm done, you do everything you're ask for and stay cool. OH, and no drugs, no alcohol and insults. She might seem your age but she's way younger.' a the Golden tooth brunet was storming out of the car. He knocked on the front door of a very out of place house.

The house was big but not that big either. It had much my windows than usual and for some reason, it was perfectly clean, the lawn was done perfectly, the wall were spotless and all the flowers were beautifully healthy and neat. Even Tannyhill seemed horribly messed up compared to this house. It was so out of place in the neighborhood Rafe's car was parked in.

Rafe witnessed a finn grey haired man open the door. He was wearing a weird suit. He shook hands with Barry and let him in. Barry seemed awfully used to the house and got in immediately disappearing in a hall.

Minutes later, like Rafe was told, Barry walked out a grin on his face and biscuit in the others. 'Okay, there you go buddy. Get in and stay away from the windows.'

Barry walked away, leaving Rafe in front of his car not really knowing what to do or think. Barry said she was a she but all he saw was an old man. He added that she seemed older than she were, what does that even have to do with drugs.

His breath cought in his throat when Rafe finally knock on the white front door. After a second, the door was opened and he was invited in by the same old man that didn't seem that old now. He immediately was ask if he had anything on himself that wasn't supposed to be around a child which was weird. Barry never said a word about a child. Rafe tried his best to hide his cigarettes, and offered his best lie. And with a smile, the suited male let him walk freely.

Pretty quick, Rafe caught up music. It was like the old music someone he once loved listened to everyday. He knew the lyrics for some reason but he couldn't remember the name of the song or the artist. He followed the melody to a large room with plastic over the furniture. There was sitten a young girl, with really long honey hair that fall on the floor. She was in a plain white dressed, barefoot and focused on the wall in front of her, brushes in hand.

Now that he had a better look, Rafe saw the damage the poor girl had done to her dress. It was covered with paint, as much as her hair, and hand, even the floor was having a hard time. She was carefully painting, humming to the song Rafe knew so much about.

And then it hit Rafe, she must be the host of the house, even this young. She's the one Barry was talking about. Rafe wanted to ask but he was scared to use his voice. Her angelic features asking nothing more than peaceful silence. So Rafe sat down carefully quickly zooming out to the pattern the girl was working on, it seemed abstract and at the same time pretty realistic.

He sat hours in that room in silence, at some point the sun started to set and that's when the old man walked in. 'Miss, it's really disrespectful to ignore a guest. I taught you better than this attitude. It's been three hours, you should offer your greetings like you did with Barry.', the girl stiffened and turned around for the first time to catch eyes with what Rafe now saw as her butler.

She gulped worried and stood up, Rafe mimicked her, she slowly walked his way and the more she did, the more Rafe realised that what Barry told him was true, she did look like their were the same age, but something was off. She finally stopped two feet away from him, not once looking up. She then wrapped her arms around Rafe waist, being this small, and Rafe stiffened. 'I want to apolozize for my action before. I hope we would be good friends.'

For a few seconds, Rafe froze. Her voice was so pure, it completely washed out his brain. And the way she talk, mumbling like a child. She stepped away joining the old man side and catching his hand. 'If you'd like to follow me Mr.Cameron, it's dinner time?'

Once out the dinning room, Rafe was walked to a guest room. It was quite old but the bed was comfy. Rafe took a hot shower to try and get his thoughts in check. He couldn't stop thinking about the girl's manners. He way she awkwardly tried her best to drink from her glass, or the way she was denied wine by her butler and pouted, receiving grapes juices instead. Or the fact that while Rafe was enjoying some salmon with rice and latues, the girl was served chicken nuggets with zucchini and rice, she fought the vegetables out of her plate and grimaced when she swallowed them. The way she ate her icecream, like it was the most overpriced caviar.

Something was up with that girl, and for some reason Rafe liked it that way. For once, he was not out of place. Not once did the butler or his host had looked him weird or murmured in his back. They were not scared, the girl even seemed happy to have someone else around. She was shy at first but since Rafe admitted that ice-cream should be seen as healthy, she was glued to his hip.

Once laid down in bed, fully in the dark, Rafe was surprised by the time it was. First in a few years that he was in bed so early. He checked his phone and quickly started scrolling on social medias.

He was woken up by something gently hitting his face. 'Hey, pssst-', he sat up abruptly. He rubbed the sleep out of his eyes to see on his side the girl looking right at him. 'What is it? Didn't the old man told you not to sneak out?', Rafe laid back down but turn the girl's way. His eyes widened when he saw the cute PJ thing she had on. 'Would you go to the beach with me?', he sighed. 'Yes, I would. Now go back to bed before you get scolded at.' Rafe closed his eyes slowly drifting back to sleep, when another pillow hit him. Again. 'What?', the girl started pushing him up. 'We're going to the beach right now. Get up.'

And now Rafe was, feet in the sand watching the girl searching for shells. He kept checking on the house meters away to make sure no lights were switch on, just in case. Quickly the girl joined his side. She was mesmerized by the waves but Rafe forbid her to get wet. 'You seemed to like the song earlier?', Rafe had an hard time connecting the dots but once done, he sighed. 'You have the same music taste of someone I loved back then.', the answer seemed to pick the girl's curiosity. Rafe sighed thinking about it before letting it slip. 'It's my mother, she listened to those same bands everyday, while gardening.' The girl cheered up. 'You have parents, that' s awesome.', Rafe cringed.

'Not so much, believe me.', the girl stood up. 'I never saw mine, they pay for the house and for Gilbert to take care of me and that's it. They send money every two weeks so I stay away.' So the butler had a name. Rafe offered a sad smile but the girl didn't seem sad, at all.

'Can I ask you something?' Rafe looked up at the girl, surprised by her statement but nodded anyway. 'Are you like Barry?' Rafe's eyes widened. What does she means? He had nothing in commun with the man. Seeing him confuse, the girl added, ' 'Cause your hands are trembling and you're sweating bad.', and then Rafe understood but he stayed silent.

'Seeing drugs makes me cry, that's why Barry told you to be careful.', Rafe nodded but was now really uncomfortable. 'I'm not like Barry, I-I'm not addicted, I'm in control.' The girl sadly smile. 'Barry says the same thing but he goes all crazy without the flour thing.' Rafe chuckled at her ignorance. The wind brought silence in their odd discussion but the girl was quick to break it. 'I'm positive you go crazy to, and do horrible thing.' Rafe stopped breathing, thinking about Peterkin. 'Lucky for you I don' t judge, right?' she started laughing like she cracked the best joke and her pure laugh made Rafe breath again. He was scared for a second.

'Are you two crazy? Get back inside now. Mr.Cameron, I'm really disappointed, I thought you were more responsible. And you, you are grounded. No playing outside for three days.' And there Gilbert is. We're screwed.
