“Amara is right. It’s too late to drive right now…and too dark to track back through the woods…we have to stay the night,” said Astrid worried“Oh no! Where will we sleep?!? What will we wear?!?! WHERE WILL WE BRUSH OUR TEETH!?!?” Dana shouted, with a mouth full of a turkey sandwich.
“Okay…guys relax. In my backpack, I have got some extra toothbrushes. There are a bunch of pillows lying around here and I found a few blankets a while ago in the kitchen. We can just dust them off.” Carol said reassuringly.
“You are a lifesaver, Carol,” Dana said, giving her a hug.
“GUYS!!!” Amara shouted. “You didn’t let me finish! The reason why we are trapped here is that there is some kind of force field surrounding the tree. I couldn’t get past it.”
“What?” Carol asked
“Force field? Are you trying to play a prank on us?” Astrid asked
“If you don’t believe me you guys should see for yourselves,” Amara replied
❤️❤️❤️
Together, the girls went back down the stone steps. “It’s getting really dark,” Luna said.
“Good thing I brought a flashlight,” Carol said smiling. The flashlight shone brightly, giving enough light for the girls to see. “I don’t see a force field. I think you were just hallucinating. You haven’t eaten anything yet. There is no reason to be paranoid.” Astrid said. Amara picked up a rock and threw it in the direction of the river. It bounced back, almost hitting Luna in the head.“Woah…you were right,” Luna said, taking a step back.
“How is this possible? Why is this possible?” said Astrid
“There is only one explanation…magic.”
