Astrid: A dAzzLiNg pLaCe I NeVeR kNeW
Together: bUt wHE-HEY, HEY THAT'S COPYRIGHTED!!!
Dana: Ok, ok sheesh
Thank you!
The girls exited the tunnels and found themselves in the middle of...
"Another Forest" grunted Astrid.
The others groaned in unison
" Well, at least we are out of that place," Amara said
"Well, what are you waiting for!" Dana shouted from afar "Lets go!"
"Wait! We don't even know where we are! We have to mark our way back..." Amara trailed off.
"What is it Amars?" Astrid asked as she turned around. "Oh..."
The mouth of the tunnel that they just exited was gone.
"WELLL, ALL THE BETTER TO KEEP GOING!" Dana shouted enthusiastically.
"Sure...sure keep on going to the path of doom" mumbled Astrid.
"Guys...how did we get from a tree house to here..." said Carol running after them, but stopping to take a picture of an interesting shrub.
The girls continued their journey on the "path of doom"
Unlike the former forest, this one was a lot brighter. The sun shone high in the sky and flowers of a vast variety of colors scattered the forest floor.
Despite the happy atmosphere, the girls couldn't shake the feeling of something watching them.
Carol turned on her camera and recorded.
"Hey, so a recap, we planned an awesome trip to start off the summer but we lost our bikes about 8 hours ago, winded up in a forest, got lost in said forest, found a freaky tree house, got stuck inside that tree house because of a magical force field that defies the laws of the world, Dana pressed a button, we got trapped in a tunnel, got seriously bruised, apparently I'm an ice witch, and then we found our way into another random forest with no way out and no sense of direction...SO YEAH, EVERYTHING IS GREAT!" Carol said to the camera, her right eye twitchingAstrid pressed stop on the recorder and clapped the back of Carol's shoulder and gave a nervous chuckle."Yeah...you're fine..."
They continued walking along the trail of the forest. That was when they noticed something...off. Maybe a lot off.
The plants grew at an otherworldly size. They were all in weird colors, from bright fuschia pink to jet black. Some were even spotted and striped. They soon found out that the creatures were just as strange, when Amara approached a baby faun.
"Hi there little guy!" Amara said, gushing over the baby animal.
That was when it decided to grow wings and fly.
"GAHHHH" Amara screamed, her eyes wide as saucers.
Carol caught her as she fell backwards, her eyes equally wide.
"WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT?!?" Carol exclaimed.
"Uhm...a baby deer decided to become toothless from How to Train Your Dragon." Astrid said.
The three other girls had to hold back their laughter.
"What's so funny?" Astrid asked.
Carol snickered.
"It's just...you know, it's funny how you mentioned HTTYD...Astrid." She said Astrid as if it was the funniest thing she ever said...ever.
"What?" Astrid said, still confused.
"You should probably go...Hiccup is looking for you." Dana said, this time not holding back any laughter.
The rest of the girls followed.
A look of realization spread across Astrid's face. Along with a slight shade of pink.
"Oh..." Astrid's face grew brighter. "OH."
The girls' laughter increased tenfold.
"You get it?" Dana said in between labored breaths.
"Because you know...your namesake?" Amara said, rasping.
"I hate you guys." Astrid said, the blush still not disappearing from her face.
"Don't be embarrassed about it," Carol said, wiping tears from her eyes. "Astrid is pretty cool."
"Yeah, she's my favorite!" Amara said.
And then Dana said something that most likely would have gotten her killed.
"Do you...have a Hiccup though?" Dana said, a devious grin spread across her face.
After that the others had to restrain Astrid from strangling Dana.
Suddenly, the earth began to shake. The leaves on the nearby bright purple trees began to rustle.
"Earthquake?" Amara asked, trying to keep her balance.
A distant THUD could be heard, getting louder as IT got closer.
"I'm guessing it's NOT an earthquake..." Carol muttered
A flash of green and purple whipped past the girls and blocked their path. The sun reflected off of its scaly body. Its gigantic wings spread wide. It towered over the girls, standing on its hind legs at about 10 feet. It breathed out a plume of hot steam along with a loud snort.
"Is that...actually a..." Dana said, taking a step back.
"Dragon..." Astrid whispered.
