The dragon moved closer to the girls, sniffing them…inspecting them…

(So as you see here my dear readers, our friends were both shocked by the fact that there was a literal dragon standing in front of them after they made fun of a certain Astrid. I will also take this moment to remind you that it is not wise to go into a -)

“ROARRRRRRRRR”

(Okay…uh, the dragon roared. Now may I continue with this little warn-)

“RUN!!!”

(Gah…uhm, Dana shouted…now as I was saying-)

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"

(OKAY FINE. WE’LL CONTINUE WITH THE STORY. GEEZ.)

The dragon started to chase the girls as if they were his dinner.

“IS THAT A FREAKING DRAGON?!?” Carol shouted.

“HOW CAN THIS DAY GET ANY WORSE!” Dana screamed
“JUST RUN. RUNNNN!” Amara said, pulling her friends along.

"HOW THE HECK, CAN WE OUTRUN A DRAGON?! HE'S A MILLION TIMES OUR SIZE!" Exclaimed Astrid, running as fast as she could.

The dragon kept on their trail, its teeth barely missing their feet, opening and closing its jaws, trying to grab one of them. They continued to run frantically across the pathway, pure fear keeping them going.

“ASTRID! CAN’T YOU, I DON’T KNOW TRAIN IT OR SOMETHING!?!” Dana screamed through gasps of breath.

“I’M NOT A DRAGON TRAINER!” Astrid shouted.

“YOU’RE ASTRID! YOU SHOULD BE A NATURAL! BESIDES, ISN’T YOUR BF THE ONE WHO STARTED TRAINING THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE?!?” Dana shouted back.

The other girls just gaped at her, while still trying to put distance between them and the dragon.

Astrid’s “bf” was the final straw. She started screaming in rapid Spanish out of annoyance, and out of fear.

“-or qué diablos tienes el peor momento en la historia del tiempo? ¡Odio esto! LO ODIO!”

“CAROL WHAT IS SHE SAYING?!?” Dana exclaimed

The dragon let out another ear splitting roar, footsteps shaking the ground, leaving damage in its wake. It started to pick up speed.

“GUYS, NOW IS NOT THE TIME!” Amara yelled.

“QUICK! WE CAN LOSE IT IN THE TREES!” Carol screamed.

The girls leaped off the path and into the thicket, the thorns scratching their skin and loose leaves getting stuck in their hair.

“THIS SUCKS!” Astrid yelled.

Lucky for them though, the trees slowed the dragon down too and its thudding footsteps receded. Soon the girls reached a clearing.

“I think *gasp* we *gasp* lost it?” Carol said, bending over and holding her knees.

“Phew…that was close. Things can NOT get worse from here.” Dana said, gasping for air.
But boy, it did get worse.

In the distance, the girls could hear a faint sound. Like a rhythmic gust of wind. The sounds got louder and louder. The sounds of flapping. The girls looked up into the, and to their horror they saw all 10 feet of the dragon flying above them. It roared another ground shaking roar as it dove down into the trees.

“You st had to jinx it did you?” Astrid said.

“RUN! RUN! RUN” Amara said, pushing her friends forward as the dragon dive bombed into the canopy, destroying nearby trees.

The girls went deeper into the forest, trying to keep ahead of the huge murder machine hunting them down. Meanwhile, the dragon swerved in between trees like it was nothing. It's hot breath sending chills down their spine as they continued to run. Luck yet again was on their side for the time being. The dragon accidentally smashed into a tree, which momentarily stopped its chase. Unfortunately for the girls, that luck wouldn’t last long. The girls stopped short. They were on the edge of a cliff. The dragon recovered and was now continuing on the chase. Its eyes glowing menacingly. The cliff dropped down into another huge patch of multicolored trees.

“Oh no…” Carol muttered.

“What do we do!” Amara exclaimed.

“OKAY! So we basically have to choose between death,” Dana gestured to the drop below them. “And death.” She then pointed to the nearing dragon.

“Guys…” Astrid gulped. “We have to jump.”

“Are you crazy?!?” Carol exclaimed.

“Would you rather get torn apart by teeth?!?” Astrid shouted.

The dragon let out another deafening roar as it neared the cliff.

Dana wiped her brow. Amara looked close to tears. Carol had fear and determination spread across her face. Astrid nodded at her friends.

“Guys…” Dana sniffed. “Whatever happens, you know I love you.”
“We do too.” Carol said with a smile. The others nodded in agreement.

“Even though you like to annoy me sometimes.” Astrid said, while giving a small laugh.

Once it caught sight of the girls, the dragon flew at an alarming speed towards them. The girls held hands.

“1…2…” Amara started counting off.

The dragon was an inch away.

“JUMP!” Astrid shouted, as the dragon chomped its jaws, only missing the girls by a centimeter.

It let out one last loud roar as the girls went barrelling down to the ground at top speed, their screams filling the air.
