"Bakugo." You felt your heart explode, "Bakugo's.. alive?"

"Yeah." Kirishima answers with a smile, "And boy, is he gonna be thrilled that you are! I can't wait to tell him that you're still alive! He'll definitely take you in as a part of our team once he sees you. There is no doubt about that."

Your lips quivered. You didn't want to break down in front of him. Not now. Not at a place like this. You covered your face with your hand as tears rolled down your cheek, "Thank God he's okay.. I thought.. I.. I-I thought that I would never be able to.."

He smiled as he watched cried with relief. He knew that it was something that you needed to hear. He's seen the way you look at Bakugo from up close and afar. Your feelings for him are strong. And he sees that. He was also relieved to see that you haven't changed as much since the blast. Coma or not, that spark of hope still remained in your eyes. It almost.. It almost reminded him of...

The past is in the past. There's no way that he can bring the old days now. Not without everyone..

You stood there with your emotions slowly breaking out, but you had to keep it together. You were still on patrol, and you have a team to look after until you make it back to your base location. You had to remind yourself of that.

"..I'm so glad to see that you still care about him. He'll be relieved." He says, "So what do you say, Y/n? Will you join our team and change the world with us together? We really need you. Bakugo needs you."

This is so sudden. Too sudden. It wouldn't be wise to decide on the spot. You needed time to compose with the information that you were just given.

"I.. Kiri.." You were just in an emotional mix. Happy to hear that Bakugo is alive, but also completely stunned to hear that he's the leader of the rebels, "I don't know what to say or how to feel about this. This is so sudden. Seeing you and now hearing about him.. I was so worried.."

"Come on, Red Cosmic!" He used the first hero name you attempted to make a legacy out of, "I know that you have a different name, but I still prefer your old one more. Listen, I know that it's a lot to take in, but I sort of need an answer right now. I'm kind of in a hurry."

"Really?" You raised a brow, "Why's that?"

"Well, it's the big man himself that needs to know that his turf is safe and secured, and if I'm not back soon, he'll get suspicious." He says while rubbing the back of his neck, "I hope that you can understand."

"Oh.. Well, what if I come back with an answer tomorrow morning?" You asked him, "I can think over for the night and maybe talk to Tsu and ask her to join if you want. It might be a little hard to convince her, though, since we're still on the edge about.. you know."

"Yeah." He sighs as he gives himself a moment to think before glancing at you, "..Alright. I know that I shouldn't be doing this, but.. If you can come back with an answer and bring in Tsu if possible, I think we can work something out. I can at least let you think about it. For old time's sake."

"Great, then I'll -" You were interrupted.

"But.. just one thing." He slowly raised his index finger, and his smile slowly disappeared, "You either need to come back with Tsu alone or just bring yourself over here with no reinforcements. Then I'll know that I can fully trust you."
