2nd POV

"Ow! Easy!" You exclaimed after hissing in pain from Mei pinching your side while measuring you. Again.

"If you want your new costume to look good, I gotta have your exact number." The pink haired girl sighs and continues doing what she's doing, "So.. I saw you running off with our leader. Guess you two had a nice reunion, eh?"

You lightly blushed as you grew a bit tense when she said this. It was an embarrassing topic since you're barely getting used to this whole.. love.. situation.. You wouldn't know what to do, and you were sure that Bakugo was unsure of the current situation and relationship that you two have. Yes, you're together. But is it ever going to be official? Or will this be a setback for him to have some closure? Or.. for your closure? A lot went on your mind, but one thing is for sure.. Bakugo's smug grin came into that mind, which made you blush all the more. You immediately cleared your throat and said, "..We just talked."

"Uh-huh." She says, not believing you, "It's not like you two went back to his office floor for the night and crashed in his bed."

You became agitated and said, "Okay, why are you so curious about this!? Can't we talk about something else? I'm not really in the mood to be moving so much while you're measuring me."

"Fine, fine, I'm already finished, so calm down." Mei grabs her clipboard and writes down her notes about your measuring size of your body, "So.. You're gonna wear a jumpsuit with some altercations, along with our best tech, of course. Bakugo is going to have another costume design since he's been complaining of how much it makes him look like a terminator, but eh, I'll try something that doesn't piss him off too much. His adjustments will take about a month since this is from scratch, but I guess he's postponing his design on purpose."

"What do you mean?" You raised a brow.

"I guess he's just not done designing yet." She shrugs, "Literally, he hated the design that I created for him on his current costume, so now I have to make a new one while also making yours too! But I like you. So you're an exception."

You chuckled and said, "I'm guessing that you want my design for the costume as well?"

"Yeah, but you're lucky that I'm giving you more time since Bakugo's costume is priority number one. For now, just wear your normal costume with the tech I added. Don't worry about paying me. Consider it as a small favor since you've helped me in the past with some of my gadgets."

"You mean when I was your guinea pig?" You playfully scoffed and smirked, "How generous of you."

She laughs and goes back to her workshop desk. She begins to open her laptop and starts to type a lot of codes for her projects, "So.. how are you feeling?"

"Terrible." You sighed and sat on a work stool, "Too much stuff is going on my mind, dude. And now.. I feel like I can't fully say everything without consequences coming up at me and hurting people."

"Well, that's the world we live in now." She says bluntly while not looking at you as she types, "Nothing is ever fair, and it's up to you to seize the moment. Especially now. Things are hard. I was lucky when Bakugo and his friends found me when I got lost. I thought I was gonna die."

"What about the heroes? Didn't they help you or try to evacuate you with the citizens?" You asked her.

"Nope." Was all she said.

You noticed her body growing tense, so you decided to change the subject. You sighed and said her with a small smile, "..You look good with your hair grown out."

She chuckles at your attempt and says, "It's not like there's a salon for me to go to anyways. I work with what I have."

You chuckled as well before saying, "I'll get that design for you soon." You stepped down from the stool and asked, "You don't need anything else from me for your costume adjustments?"
