siren call

Hyunjin's pov

"What was that?" I thought as I woke up from sleeping

"It comes from above" I thought and swam back to the surface to look where that strange noise came from and as I got to the surface I saw  a small group of campers, young adults

I looked through the reeds, three men and two girls

They were laughing, drinking, making music, telling stories

"By the way did you know there goes on this place myth about a mermaid, a siren" one of the men said

"What the heck no bro" the other man said and the others looked at him

"Well they said you can hear the siren singing at the night to lure people in the water and eventually drown you," the man said

He has short, dark-coloured hair and he wore all-black clothing

"But is it true?" A girl asked

"Not yet, but they said everyone who stayed here around this lake, nobody would return," the dark-haired boy said

Everyone was quiet

"So we should watch for tonight, chan?" The other girl asked as she looked at the other girl who was gripping her arm

"That's right Yeji" the so-called chan said

They eventually said goodnight and they went to their tents

I smirked

Chan's pov

I turned around and around and around. I somehow couldn't sleep maybe because of the mermaid myth

I opened my tent and went outside to clear my mind for a bit

The night was beautiful, the stars the moon but suddenly I heard a strange sound coming from the lake

It was a more like slightly humming

"It can't be" I thought as I quietly walked to the lake and when I arrived my eyes widened I couldn't believe what I saw

I saw the mermaid.. uh I mean siren sitting on the edge of the lake. It was a boy

He has beautiful long blonde hair, gills on his neck, a toned chest and  toned stomach, scales on his body and a long grey tail

I quietly pulled out my phone but when I opened my camera he started singing

Aahh~

It..it it it was beautiful

Ahh ahh

I remembered what I said about the siren song but I couldn't stop listening to it, it was so peaceful and beautiful

My phone slipped out my hands then the mermaid saws me, he has baby blue eyes

Ahh ahh ahh

He reached out his hand and I grabbed his hand, the mermaid smiled

Eventually, he pulled me into the water, and everything went fast

....

Hyunjin's pov

"Chan? Chan! Where are you?!" I heard a girl shouting for their friend chan

"Guys! I found something" the other girl shouted

They all came together

"Chan's phone," the man said and they all gasped

"T-That can't be" a girl said and her eyes went to the lake, luckily she didn't see me because I was hiding underwater
