Dyson
Ryden called Decker about Dixon and told him that Brody had taken him home.
"Is Brody the guy that Dixon is seeing?" I asked.
"Beats me. I haven't met the guy yet."
"Wait. Has anyone met this guy that Dixon is seeing?"
Decker shook his head.
"Great."
"We can worry about Dixon in a minute. Let's get back to Norman Bate's offspring."
"Why? We know the schmuck is insane. Who the hell keeps their dead grandmother with them?"
"One with a few screws loose. Dad would know something about this situation."
"You can't tell Dad we broke into a house illegally and discovered a mummified body of someone's grandmother. Dad will lose his shit."
Decker rolled his eyes. "No, dumbass. I'll ask him some questions since he's a paramedic."
"Isn't one of our idiot cousins studying medicine?"
"How the hell should I know? It's not like I hang out with our billion family members."
"What about funeral homes?"
Decker arched his brow. "Oh, right. Let me call the funeral director I have on speed dial."
"Wait. I live with someone that would know this shit."
"And you couldn't have thought about that first?"
"I would ask Marty since he was dating Bailey, but we're not on speaking terms."
"You need to work your shit out with Marty or incur Aunt Tori's wrath."
"I'm working on it."
"Work faster. I don't need our favorite aunt pissed at us."
I rolled my eyes. "I'll add that to my never-ending list of things to do."
"Wiseass."
I'm aware I need to figure out my shit with my family. It hasn't escaped me. I'll get there. First, I need to figure out Norman Bate's offspring's deal. I've grown accustomed to Gertie and Gabby in my life. If he hurts them, I will hurt him.

DeckerHow the hell does Dyson get himself into these situations? First, the dog whistle incident. Next, the fight with Marty and Dad. Now, we're dealing with a guy who used Norman Bates as inspiration.
We climbed into the car.
I drove to Gabby's workplace, pulled into a police station parking lot, and exited. "You have got to be kidding me. You're dating a cop?" I looked at Dyson over the car rooftop.
"Gabby isn't a cop." Dyson rolled his eyes. "She works in the lab as a forensic expert."
"Wait. You need brains for that job. How the hell did you wind up with her when you have none?"
Dyson glared at me.
"Well, you were the one that brought the dog whistle to the campus and caused this stupid mess."
"You and Dixon gave me the dog whistle, you idiot."
"We didn't tell you to use it on Pat. Now, did we?"
Dyson looked at me in annoyance. "Yeah, yeah. I was wrong, and everyone was right. Are you satisfied now?"
"Not until you get your shit together and talk to Dad, Pat, and Marty."
