03 : relax, breathe
My blockmates hovered around the new guy till we reached our last subject for the day which was Art Appreciation.
My friends loudly chatted in front of me as they enjoyed their deformed cakes. Do you bet they did not thank me for it? Well, did they have to? It was nothing new.
Besides, I wasn't bothered at all even when they complained about how ruined it was. He looked annoyed standing and leaning against the wall beside a large canvas painted with orange hues, mixed with cherry tints and unfathomable shades—an incomplete art.
"I would choose him if both arts were to be auctioned," pagsang-ayon naman ni Katrina.
The guy seemed to know the amount of attention he was getting, yet he chose to isolate himself. Both of his hands were shoved in his pockets with wireless earbuds plugged into his ears. Everyone just watched him from a distance with interest in their eyes. That includes guys and girls. They did not attempt to talk to him after he shut someone off earlier for asking him too many personal questions. Tsk, such an icy man.
I had full of that at home. I could not deal more of it outside or I'd go bonkers.
It was great that I was acquainted with most of the locals and had no problems with them.
She had to shout in front of my face because I seemed too preoccupied, making me sniff the sweet vanilla cake scent from her breath.
"Ah! I probably looked stupid spacing out, overthinking stuff.
My voice trailed off with shame. I was in a rush to get out of the damned house that I forgot to grab a bottle.
I suddenly felt a knot in my chest from their reactions. Their eyes were telling me as if they wouldn't be friends with me anymore if I wouldn't give them any. Panic instantly ran through my veins. "Don't worry! I'll get you some water."
