How we moved to Europe based on the formula 25A+50+25B
We wanted to live and create in a place where our work is valued, and where people we meet are aligned with our values. We knew for sure that we don't belong in Azerbaijan. We felt most drawn to Europe.
But we had no idea how to relocate to Europe, where to set up our business, or where to live. We simply dreamed about it. We visualized our life in a beautiful place, we imagined ourselves enjoying life and the work we do, the location and our lifestyle, and the people surrounding us. We meditated and visualized our new life every single day.
This was our 25A and that's how the idea of our global startup was born. We applied to various organizations in Europe, had numerous calls, and exchanged hundreds of emails. As a result, we got accepted into several startup programs in Europe. We chose Portugal. We chose this country because we closely listened to the voice of our soul. As soon as we got the invitation we began preparing the documents that had to be presented at the embassy.
We found out that there was no embassy or consulate of Portugal in Azerbaijan, hence Firuza had to travel to Ankara (Turkey) to apply for the visa, and I had to travel to Moscow (Russia). Keep in mind that this is 2020 and the world is going through a pandemic, borders are closed, no one is allowed to travel to the EU. We would have spent a lot of time, money and undergone a lot of stress if not for the French Embassy in Baku (Azerbaijan). They helped us immensely and provided the visas directly in Baku. A huge thank you to them!
April 16, 2021 - the day we landed in Lisbon andalmost cried tears of joy.
