Chapter 13: Kill the Religion

~Night Raid Hideout~
*(Y/N) (L/N) POV*

Two days went by after mine and Tatsumi's event with Esdeath and the discovery of Saibot Shadow, and also Leone and myself confessing our love for each other, most of us were sitting around the table as Chelsea was explaining her last mission, and how it almost went south. Of course, I was between Sheele and Leone as they either linked arms with me or laid their head on my shoulder. Either way, Chelsea was lucky to get out without detection.

"I don't know what happened, but we must've had a leak somewhere down the line," Chelsea says after finishing her mission. "The Jaegers walked in on me."

"I'm amazed you made it out safely," Mine says to Chelsea. "Those guys are a real threat."

"How did you hide?" Sheele asks.

"The target had a few cats," Chelsea replies. "So I turned into one and just acted casual 'til they left."

"So I guess your Imperial Arms DOES have its uses then," Mine admittedly says. "I'm not sure how I would've gotten out of a pinch like that."

"It's harder for you now, since they know what you look like," Chelsea replies back to Mine after taking a sip from her mug. "Feel free to leave missions like that to me from now on, okay?"

"Huh? Wow, thanks, Chelsea." Mine thanks her, but there was more to it.

"Give it a minute." I whispered to both Leone and Sheele as they both knew what was coming next.

"Well, while I'm out saving the day," Chelsea finishes her last statement to Mine and places a lollipop in her mouth. "You be sure to guard the house... like~ a~ pup~ py~."

That was something I knew was gonna happen, but it was funny to watch. Mine's reaction was obvious as she wailed in annoyance and points at Chelsea.

"Just when you're being nice, you turn into a piece of crap!" Mine screeches before she starts chasing Chelsea around the room while she laughs. "Oh my God, I hate you!"

"Yeah, I remember when Mine used to say the same kinda shit to me..." Tatsumi mutters but I was laughing my ass off with Leone as Sheele gave out a few giggles.

"Well, based on what happened," Akame speaks with a finger to her chin. "It would seem the Jaegers might be starting to home in on us."

"Well, now that they've run out of Danger Beasts to hunt, maybe Night Raid is the last group of enemies they have left to fight," Leone chips in before looking over at Tatsumi. "But since Tatsumi decided to take an island vacation with their leader, maybe they'll decide to go easy on us!"

"LEAVE ME ALONE! I was sent there against my will, remember?!" Tatsumi fires back at Leone after spurting out his drink in shock. "(Y/N) was with me at that time, don't forget that!"

"True, he was, but he did find an Imperial Arms," Sheele agreed but brought up Saibot Shadow. "Now with Saibot Shadow with us, another Imperial Arms for us, less for the Empire."

"Let's not forget the passionate kiss you shared with Esdeath, Tatsumi... Hehehe..." I brought up that memory as Tatsumi freaked out. I still remember the beatdown Mine gave to Tatsumi, it was hilarious.

"Sure, you were alone in paradise with a beautiful woman," Lubbock speaks to Tatsumi while adding in a lot of sugar cubes and cream before mixing them together. "It's not like I'm totally jealous of you or anything. You coulda just left her there. I mean, she is the most dangerous killer in the Empire. Boy, am I glad that wasn't me. Whoo, I sure am lucky. LUCKY, LUCKY ME!"

"Pervert." Me, Leone, and Sheele called out in unison Lubbock as he stares at us in shock, but our thoughts were interrupted by Najenda entering the room as she was drying her hair.
