A few days later Summer, Aggro, Inferno, Monica, and Luna were trying to decide where to go for a girls day.

"I got it!" Aggro cheered, heading to the village. "Come on we'll need diving helmets for Luna and Monica."

"That is a good place," Inferno agreed after realizing what she meant. "We haven't been there since before Gludge."

Summer shivered in disgust remembering how they escaped.

A little later they were following a glowing Aggro and Inferno through the underwater tunnel from the Maze Cave to the cavern which they all agreed was beautiful Summer even caught fish and they headed to the central chamber where they explored before finding a place to set down with Aggro starting a fire for Monica to cook her fish only for Luna to show them she had mastered using her blasts to cook in in an instant.

"That's impressive," Inferno said from Summer's head with Aggro agreeing as she flew up to sit next to Inferno with their tails curled together.

"Hey Inferno, Aggro?" Monica asked as they ate. "I have a question."

"Yes?" They asked as they shared a single fish.

"Don't talk with your mouths full," Summer said. "I don't want chewed food on my head."

"Sorry, mum." They said after swallowing.

"I have two questions actually," Monica changed. "First, I've seen you spend most of your time as Aggro and Inferno, but not much time as Leyla and Narumi. Why is that?"

"Two reasons," Aggro said with a flick of her tail. "First our size. At our size it is easier to move around as dragons and we are safer than as humans."

"The other reason is because we like to spend time as water in mum's watersack," Leyla added with a soft smile and a nod of her head to Summer.

"You do spend most of your time in there," Summer agreed with a smirk.

"That's because it's so comfy!" Inferno sighed with a smile.

"And her heartbeat creates a soothing pulse that makes it even comfier," Aggro added in while buzz along Inferno.

"That leads to my second question," Monica said. "Why do you call Summer mom? From what I heard you only started recently."

"The soothing pulse was very comforting," Inferno said with a with a giggle amd a flick of her tail. "It's like a mother providing comfort."

"Of course while we joked about it after coming out, but we did end up having a talk with Summer," Aggro added with a small laugh. "And she's a very good mom."

"It was a very interesting talk," Summer agreed thinking about it.

Flashback

It was a few days after the whole (getting eaten by a dragon) thing and Summer, Inferno, and Aggro were outside, chatting quietly near the sleep cave.

"So you two really don't know when you'll be back to normal size?" Summer asked the two dragons in front of her.

Both Aggro and Inferno shook their heads in response.

The Fastfin sighed and flicked her tail from left to right. "Well, you guys could keep riding in my watersack until we figure out how to change you back."

Aggro and Inferno glanced to ach other with a knowing look before nodding their head and turning back to face Summer.

"We could do that," Inferno replied with a shrug.

"And until you guys are normal-sized again, I'll be your adopted mom for the time beeing." The water dragon said with a motion of her wings at the two smaller dragons. "Is that alright with you?"

Inferno looked deep in thought while Aggro was trying to process what Summer had just asked of them.

"Are you sure about this, Sun?" Inferno eventually replied, speaking up in an attempt to break the awkward silence.

Summer just nodded her head with a bright smile on her face.

"I don't mind, it would be a lot safer for you otherwise if I did," she replied, trying to think things over in her head before speaking.

"If you adopt us does that mean we call you mum instead of Summer?" Aggro asked with a confused look on her face.

Summer giggled softly and gave them both an amused look.

"You can call me whatever you'd like too," she told them with a fond smile.

End Flashback

Afterwards they spent the rest of the day playing in the cave before coming back to the Roost and seeing a very serious Dak and Winger.

"Aggro. Leyla...we need to talk. Alone." They said.
