The impact unstunned them up as they immediately headed to the surface but before they could get there they were both grabbed by a large eel and dragged deeper. This caused them to struggle and panic for two reasons. One they needed to breathe, but the eel was trying to drown them. Two it was an Eel, and unlike Fastfins Fire Furies are scared of eels. As they panicked they swore they saw the eel laughing, but they couldn't focus since they were starting to pass out.

It looked like it was the end of them as the darkness almost completely covered their vision when they felt something click inside them, and they both began to glow a soft blue instead of the normal orange, but didn't even notice as they instinctively turned to face the eel and shot waterblast into its face loosening it enough for them to escape and swim away, not noticing what they were doing just wanting to get away from the eel. Eventually it chased them to an under water cave that they swam in with the eel trying to follow but being unable to due to being too large.

As they followed the cave they came across a large underwater cavern with lots of fish and coral somehow surviving on the glowing stones embedded in the walls. Taking the time to pause now that they were safe they turned to each other and finally realized they were glowing a soft blue and had used water blasts to get away from them, plus they were breathing underwater, causing Inferno to start panicking again with Aggro trying to calm her down and only succeeding by kissing her.

"How are we...?" Inferno asked, once calm.

"I never mentioned it before but my grandfather was a water fury," Aggro said thinking. "This glow is the same as his so I'm guessing the eel attack unlocked the dormant water fury abilities in me. And since you got your dragon form from me you must be part water fury too, and also unlocked those abilities."

"I didn't realize you could unlock abilities from other dragon species in your ancestry," Inferno said, still trying to process what exactly had just happened.

"Neither did I," Aggro shrugged with a confused look on her face. "But it's the only thing I can think of."

"True," Inferno agreed before they started practicing their water fury powers.

Eventually they decided to explore the cavern and found an underwater tunnel other than the one they entered, which they avoided in case the eel was waiting for them. They were very surprised when they followed the tunnel and were quite surprised to see they were in the central chamber again.

"So that's where that tunnel led too," Inferno said, before they decided that now that they weren't underwater anymore they would practice switching between power sets. Eventually learning how to switch with ease. Then after checking and seeing the storm, is still going they decided to check the final underwater tunnel in the central chamber. They were quite surprised to see it came out in a small hidden lake in the Maze Caves. The best part is they even saw that this section of the cave had a hole in the roof coming out on Mount Huttsgalore. Which would give them easy access to the cavern system. They also saw the storm was ending revealing a clear night. So they made their way back to the Roost as Inferno and Narumi.

Once there Inferno and Narumi went immediately to sleep, well Inferno tried. Summer woke her up and asked for details, and was eventually able to get the full story out. She was glad that they were together now, and really surprised about the water fury powers, but was terrified about the eel. And really interested in the cavern system. Finally Summer was out of questions and let them rest until the next day when a rescue sent Inferno and Narumi inside the stomach of a Sea Gronckle named Gludge. Narumi being grossed out but not wanting to let Inferno go in alone.
