Eddie's POV.

We were all at the station, finally resting after the many calls we've had today. 

We were all working 24-hour shifts. Unfortunately... But it's fine because Carla agreed to stay at the house with Chris overnight.

hen, Chim, Ravi, and buck and I, were laying down in the bunker. Trying to get SOME rest, after the crazy day we've had so far.
...
We've had 8 calls so far. And it's only 6pm. 

Some of them were quick and easy. then some took an hour or more.
...
Hen couldn't sleep, so she was on her phone. She did look comfortable though! Chim wasn't exactly "asleep" he was mainly just resting his eyes. and Ravi, was kind of just like hen. And bobby was in his office doing some paperwork.

Buck and I were cuddled up together. Like usual. And buck... well, he was actually asleep.

I was rubbing his back and playing with his hair, Like usual. And I was also slowly starting to fall asleep. 

and I probably would have, if the bell hadn't gone off.

Buck woke up, and we all rushed downstairs and hoped in the truck.

The whole way to the call, buck laid his head on my shoulder. He typically always does this, but it never stops being adorable.

We got to the call, and it was well... bad.
...
It was a 5-alarm fire. and a massive building.
...
Most of the people were already out of the building, and some were coming out as we were going in. then some were still in there.

Hen and Chim stayed out with everyone and checked on people. Bobby and Ravi ran into the building together to try and find who was left and help them out.

Buck and I ran in just a few seconds after them. 
...
We stayed together for the most part. Until we heard screaming from the left and the right. So, we decided to go separate ways.
...
"I'll take left, you take the right... Then we'll meet back up outside, got it?" I said. 

"Copy that."

"But please, be quick and be careful. the building looks like it could collapse at any moment... be quick and careful, okay? I love you."

"I will try. I promise. but you have to be careful too! I love you so much more."

I nodded and ran off to the left side.

I heard a couple screams, so I at least know there's more than one person.

It took me about 5 minutes to get to them, but I eventually did. 
...
There was only two people. And they both had very minor injuries. However, they were trapped by the fire. So, I very quickly put it out and helped them out. 
...
I gave them the oxygen masks, and led them outside, while putting out as much fire as I could.

Buck's POV.

Eddie and I split up. He took the left, while I took the right. 
...
I did have to hurry. The whole building could collapse any moment.

Luckily, it only took me a few minutes to get to the person. And thank God it was only one person... it made it a lot easier to get in and get out.

The girl I was helping didn't have any injuries, just a headache. and she said that she felt a little lightheaded. But it was probably from the fire.
...
I also checked every room on my side and made sure there was no one else. I didn't see anyone... so, I'm pretty sure there isn't anyone. Or at least that's what I was hoping for.

As I was starting to leave the floor I was on, I could hear the stop of the building starting to fall. Some of it already did, and I had just barely missed it. I was very quickly trying to get out of there.

I was almost off the floor I was on, and I was about to head onto the bottom one. Until I heard the ceiling start to fall.

I felt something hit me in the head, then felt it pin me down. It was heavy... it hurt... and I was stuck. 
...
My arms were pinned, I couldn't radio the team... or Eddie... I tried but I had no luck. 
...
I told the girl to run out and all I could see was her running before my eyes started closing. 
...
I very quickly opened them again. But It was hard to breathe. My mask had come off during the fall, and smoke was filling my lungs. I had a heavy piece of concrete pinning me down which made it even harder to breathe.

I tried to move, but I had no luck. I was stuck... this was it... this was the end...

I fought to keep my eyes open, but I couldn't. they very quickly closed and I couldn't open them back up. I took a couple deep breaths before all I could see was black.

Eddie's POV.

I have been waiting outside for about 10 minutes, for buck to come out of the building. But he never did.
...
I didn't want to worry automatically, because well... it's buck. He knows what he's doing. However, the building could come down any minute, and he was nowhere to be seen.

I decided to try and radio through to him.
...
"Buck? where are you? You need to hurry and get out of there!" I said but I got no response.
