The Next Day-
[Ash woke up early and after some morning training we see our trainer going towards his class as the period was about to start. Ash enters the class to see everyone talking but as soon as he enters he sees everyone become silent as they stood up and look at him as Ash was confused]
ASH: [Confused] Uhmm... what happened and why are you all looking at me like that..?
[The students stare at him with a incredulous face as Nate speaks]
NATE: Ash.. you do know you are the class champion for the second years so we all are just greeting you..
ASH: Oh.. alright. Sit down! [Waves his hand as the students sit while Ash takes his seat beside Nate while also receiving many congrats from the classmates when he felt a hand on his shoulder as he turns his head to see a blond boy staring at him with a excited face]

BARRY: You! You are the new class champion right. I just saw your battle and it was so awesome!!
ASH: Thanks..?
BARRY: Oh Yeah! My name is Barry! Nice to meet you!
ASH: Ash Ketchum! [They both shake hand when Nate says]
NATE: Well looks like someone is already deciding to make himself known in front of the champion huh..? [Smirks]
BARRY: [Annoyed] Oh please! Just shut it alright and I just wanted to make more friends you know.. and I am a good trainer too!
ASH: Now just leave it and [turns to Barry] We can be friends.
BARRY: Awesome and can we battle soon!
NATE: [Laughs a little] Really. You have lost against me five times already and you think you can defeat the class champion?
BARRY: Hey! Their is no problem in trying!
ASH: Don't worry we will and why don't we three be friends alright and I accept your challenge Barry but it will be one on one!
[Nate and Barry agree when the teacher [Prof Juniper] walked into the class as she looks at Ash and motions him to come forward which he does as Juniper says]
PROF-JUNIPER: Good Morning trainers and coordinators first of all I would like you all to congratulate and welcome your new class D champion Ash ketchum. [They all cheer and were happy they got rid of a bully champion] Now Ash I don't know why you rejected to join the student council and I will not reason on it so I want you to choose one of the classmate as your assistant which could assist you in your duties as a class champion..
ASH: Hmm.. [Looks at the class and then smiles at Nate] I think I will choose Nate not because he is my friend but because he showed me around the school and helped me as a new comer. And he has a great battling style so I choose him. [The others were disappointed but respected the decision as Nate was surprised but was overjoyed as Ash goes back to his seat]
