I was still in the kitchen over the phone with Cedrick. Silence stretched between us. He refused to talk about honesty, but I gotta dig him up tonight. There was something bothering me from the information Brian had sent me the night I left Sofitel.

"What now?" he asked irritated.

"What is your problem?" I snapped. I stood up and walked around to where the broken glasses were. I collected them using my own hands since there was no tool or anything else I could use.

"What exactly are you doing? Why do I hear glasses?" he asked again.

"And why are you so interested?"

"I'm cleaning the shattered bottle. It's broken into large pieces." I told him as I made my way to the trash and dumped it.

I went out in the pool after cleaning. Frogs croaking filled the silence that was stretching between Cedrick and me.

"Who is Jessica Dublin?" I asked after settling on the ground.

"Who?" Cedrick whispered.

"Jessica Dublin?" I repeated.

"I don't know her." He conceded.

"Really?" I countered. "Then why were you together out in New York back in 2010?"

"I don't know what you're talking about." He said defensively.

"Just this once okay, be honest with me"

He coughed interrupting me.

"Okay, go on" he said.

"Why do you think people cheat?" I asked.

"Uh, I don't know. Ask Jaymes ab-"

"We both know that I am not talking about Jaymes. You know what; I've been trying to get under Jaymes' skin for more than 24 hours now."-sigh-"I've been asking her to be honest to herself, so I figured out I should do the same thing to you."

"And?"

"Answer me honestly..." I started, "How does it feel to be the one cheated over with?"

"You make it sound like I did the cheating first"

"Did you not?" I snapped and in response he took a heavy breath. I waited for his answer but for the next minutes there was nothing.

"Ahem." I said a little annoyed by his lack of coordination.

"She's an old friend, that's all."
