I couldn't find the words on how to explain to Jaymes.

"Lie"Cedrick begged.

What?!lie?he wants me to lie?for him??Is he mad?

"Lie,just..please..I still can't talk to her." He begged again.

Shit! I don't know what to do. I know how much Jaymes wanted to explain to Cedrick but at the same time, I also know that Cedrick's not ready.

There's always a perfect timing-my subconscious advised.

"No...no its not Cedrick." I finally said, cursing myself, at the same time I heard the call being dropped by Cedrick.

"Why do I feel like you're lying." Jaymes said and went to where I was seated hands outstretched asking for the phone.

"Its probably just a misunderstanding."I told her as I took off the earplugs and gave her the phone which was in my pocket.

She checked the caller ID which was named CREEP and I saw her check the number too. Of course it wasn't Cedrick's number because his phone is the one she's holding right now.

I saw disappointment flash across her features and a tear ran down her cheeks.

Oh God!here she go again. I really hate seeing her cry or anyone for that matter.

She returned Cedrick's phone to meand she went back inside the house.

"Damn it!"I muttered to myself.

"Hey Jaymes!Wait up!" I called after her trying connect the earplugs back in the phone and put it in my ear.

"Hey." I said when I was inside the house.

She ignored me and went to get some beers from the fridge.

"I want to be alone."She said without looking at me and headed for the stairs to her room.

I stood there and watched her go. Phone still in hand I muttered to myself,"stupid!how can I be so careless?!"

Her bedroom door shut with a thud then, there was nothing but silence. I scanned the empty room waiting for nothing in particular. The buzzed from an incoming message. My number flashed to the screen. The message read: call me.

I shook my head and asked myself if it was right for me to have myself dragged into this mess. They both know nothing about me and yet here I was putting my life on hold.

I called Cedrick and went around the house. There were several pictures displayed that I did not saw the night I got into this house. One photo caught my attention because it was a poem framed which was surrounded by pictures of Jaymes and her pets when she was younger.
