Jared pov
"I'm sorry Jared but this doesn't look good" doctor Bright said
I bite my lips stopping myself from breaking down "is there something we can do?" I asked
"There is nothing we can do, the pills have already worked but her uterus is not stable, we don't know if she can pull through"
I sighed not knowing what to say, I can't loose her.
"Doctor, can we have a moment with him?" Ryan voice came suddenly
"Sure" doctor Bright replied then she left us there with my friends
"What happened?" Ryan whispered taking me to sit on the sofa. We were inside the room where Allysa was sleeping.
"She caught me on bed with Amara" I whispered
"What?" They said
"Amara the young sister?" Kai asked
"Jared, are you insane? I thought you quit that behaviour" Ryan scolded
"And she is a fucking minor" Harris added
"I know. But she is the bitch" I said
"The bitch? The one who wanted your marriage gone?" Kai asked in disbelief
"Yes, that bitch. I couldn't believe it myself"
"Damn! This is so messed up. When did you find out?" Harris asked
"Two days after you gave me that plan. I wanted to confront her but then these things with Allysa happened and then this" I said in frustration "to think that I was the one who brought her in my house. I did this to my wife" I cried
"You did this with clear conscious. You wanted her to be happy" Kai said
"So, what now? Is she still at home?" Harris asked
"I kick her out.."
"Mmh" Allysa stir. We both looked her way
"Baby" I called walking to her bed
"My child" she cried as soon as her eyes opened "oh no, my baby"
"Sshh..baby, our child is fine" I said caressing her stomach
She pull herself up and sit "what did the doctor say?" She asked
"That you're okay" I lied "there is nothing to worry about, all you need to do is relax, stay away from hard work and stress" I said
She looked down as soon as I say the world stress. I know what she was thinking. Me and Amara.
"Babe-"
"I don't wanna hear it Jared" she said
"But still.."
"Still, it will change nothing." She took my hands " Do you love me?" She asked
"Very much" I breathed out " Baby, you know I will never stop"
She smiled "then, that's enough. You have been through alot and I have been through alot so everyone has their way of dealing with shit. However, I hope this will never happen again"
"Baby this never happened at all. I know i wasn't myself, but sleeping with your sister or any woman at that time wasn't on my mind" I explained
"I know. I believe you Jared, so don't beat yourself. It's all good" she said
I looked at her and was like 'okay, so this is over' cause to tell you the truth, I thought she was gonna shout at me like how she always does.
"So, about the baby-"
"We will keep it" I said "I'm sorry that I said all those hurtful words. I want this baby, it is ours and we will fight together till the end" I said
Her eyes watered, she couldn't believe what I have just said, so she just opened her arms and I move to hug her.
"Thank you baby. I love you" she said
"And I love you baby" I replied
All that time our friends had been quietly excused themselves. I didn't even saw them when they got out.
"Do you need anything?" I asked
"Yes, I want to go home" she said
"Ally.."
"I'm fine Jared, it was just a little shock but now my body seems fine" she complained
"Okay, let me talk to Ryan" I said going outside
I talked to Ryan and he agreed to discharge her but with tons of conditions.
After the discharge papers were done, I took my wife and leave with her.
"How do you feel?" I asked when we parked at our house
"Good" she smiled rubbing her small tummy
My heart clenched at the action. I don't know if I will ever get used to the idea of loosing her. She opened the car door and I stopped her quickly
"No my lady, you will not walk on your own" I said going to her side and scoop her in my arms
"Baby, I can manage" she whinned
"And I can manage to carry you sweetheart so don't argue with me" I said walking inside the house.
When we enter inside, the house was quiet there was no sign of Amara. I was glad that she left without a fight. I settled my wife on the sofa
"Do you need anything" I asked
She chuckle
"What?" I asked
"You asked me that for like a hundred times since we were at the hospital" she said. I sit down beside her and pull her on my chest
"Well, if my wife is pregnant, the least I can do is to make sure that she lack nothing" I said
"Well, I lack nothing. You're here with me, there is nothing to worry about" the last part sounded sad so I only stay silent.
I know it's hard for me, but it's also hard for her. Knowing that you might leave the people you love behind is not easy. But it's more difficult for me who might be left behind.
Okay, Jared stop it. Don't think about it or you might start crying again.
"Baby-" Allysa called when I sniffed
I guess it's too late, tears were already there.
"I'm fine" I said
"No, you're not. Hell, I'm not fine. But, we need to think positive, I will be fine. We will be fine"
"It's easy for you to say since you're not the one who is left behind" I broke down
"Left behind? Where will I go? Baby, I'm stuck with you for life, always remember that. I will not go anywhere, I will fight, for you and this baby" she smiled
"You promise?" I cried
"I promise" she replied "hey, look at me" I look into her eyes and she smiled widely. How can she even find her smile in time like this? "I love you"
"I love you too Allysa, so much" I cried and we hugged
My heart can't take any of this, but I guess, I need to be strong for her.
