Jared pov
"It's not looking good Jared" doctor Bright said "Allysa is getting worse, looks like her uterus is starting to swell. If this continues, we will be forced to remove the baby or else.." she bite her lips
"Or else?" I asked the obvious
"She dies" she said
My heart started to pound like crazy, we were doing fine, what now?
"So, what should we do to prevent the swelling?" I asked
"I will give her some medicines and also she needs a complete bed rest, no working for all remaining eight months. She needs only light movements and that's all. Also, no stress, I repeat she needs no stress, cause this may result to more swelling" she explained
"Okay" I replied shortly
"You can take her home, she is stable now" she said before leaving
I walked to the room where my wife was with Stella. They were chatting and Stella was telling Allysa how much Amara was annoying her. My wife was laughing like nothing mattered and that somehow gave me hope and put a smile on my face.
"Are you feeling better now?" I asked, they all turned to look at me still laughing
"Yes babe, I'm much better" she said "are we leaving?" She asked
"Yes we are. But, the doctor put you on bed rest, so no more working. Stella will do everything around the house" I explained
"Urgh, I will be bored" she said
"You will not, cause I will also be working from home till you give birth"
" Really?" She said excitedly and I nod, she jump on me and hug me tightly "I love you baby"
"I love you too sweetheart"
"I bet that is a girl" Stella suddenly spoke. We both turn to look at her and she gave us a smile. She is such a darling. A lovely and caring maid
"Why did you say that?" Allysa asked
"Because your love for your husband has multiplied and you hate women, I see how you looked at your mom and not to mention your sister. But you also love grandpa and your father in law" she explained
"That my dear is not a fact, Allysa loves my family and me always. But she hates hers" I said and Allysa nodded
Stella just nod in defeat as she carry Allysa's purse. And we started walking outside.
We found Bruce sitting at the reception and he started walking towards my car the minute he saw us.
Nowadays, he is avoiding me. I can't believe he also think that I slept with his lover.
He opened a car door for us and we got into the back sit as Stella went for passenger seat and the car started.
Bruce put in a music and we drove in silence.
"Bruce, you don't have to act that way. You know we love you right?" Allysa suddenly spoke. Bruce looked at her through the mirror and then focus on driving.
"Arrogant bastard. "I cursed under my breath
"I'm not trying to say that what you did is okay but we will protect you as your family" Allysa added
"Protect me from what?" Bruce asked "I'm not the one who got her pregnant" he shrugged
"Don't play dumb with us. We have camera footages that shows how much you were going in and out of Amara's room" I raised my voice and my wife touched my hand to calm me down
