Trial day.
"Everyone rise!" A voice was heard and everyone stood up and the judge entered. Then they were told to sit down.
"Please state today's case" Judge said
"Today's case is between Miss Amara Broody and Mrs Allysa Parker. Miss Broody is accusing her sister for injecting her with poison and resulting to loose her unborn child"
"And what is the defendant pleading?" Judge asked
"My client plead not guilty" Kai said
Yes, Kai is Allysa's lawyer. That day when Allysa called Kai and asked for a favour, this was one of them.
Kai is a business man but he studied law. He took over his family business after he finished the university.
He stopped practicing law a long time ago but when Allysa called and told him about what happened, he thought why not help a friend.
The case continued as Amara's lawyer spoke a few words amd then it was time to call the witnesses.
"I call doctor Victor on the stand" Amara's lawyer said and the doc took the stand.
He took an oath and then the lawyer started to question him immediately.
"Tell us what happened on Thursday 9 may" the lawyer asked
"I was in my office and Mrs Brenda Wright came in with her daughter, she was sick, almost dying. After we took further tests it was known that she was injected with a deadly snake poison which harmed her unborn child"
The court started to murmur
"Order!" The judge shouted
"Can you show us the daughter that came with her on that day?"
"Yes, she is right there" he pointed at Amara
"No further questions your owner"
"Attorney Brown, do you have any questions to the witness?"
"Yes your honour" Kai stood up "doctor victor, you said that Mrs Wright came with her child to your hospital, do you remember what time it was?"
"It ..it..it was around noon. I don't remember the exact time" the doctor said
"Your honour, around noon is 12 to 3 pm. And the report that the doctor submitted shows that the tests were taken at 11 am in the morning"
"Any further questions attorney?"
"No further questions your honour" Kai said and went to sit
"Does that question help?" Allysa whispered
"Just relax okay, you have me. Worry about nothing" Kai said
"We call Jared Parker on the stand"
Jared stood up, he went to take the oath and then sit comfortably waiting for the questions.
"Tell us what happened on Thursday 6" Kai asked
"Amara lied to us that she was pregnant and there was no way we would find out that it was the truth since they didn't want to visit our doctor. So, my wife wanted to snatch the truth out of her and that's is why she injected her with orange juice. It was harmless and we are hundred percent sure that she didn't harm even a cell on her body" Jared said anger evident on her face.
"So, did she confess?" Kai asked
"Yes, she did" Jared answered
"Your honour, this is the recording that Miss Broody confessed" Kai submitted the evidence
