Jared pov
Splash!
"Good gracious!" I shot off the bed when my wife splash water in my face "babe, what's wrong?" I asked
"You know, I was watching you sleep soundly while I can't sleep a wink, and I wondered if you still love me" she started crying
What the hell?
"Baby, why would you even think that" I said pulling her on my lap "you know I love you"
"If you love then why can't I sleep and you can" she sniffed
"That's because I had a long day at work sweetheart, I'm tired" I said
"Really? So, you still love me?"
"I do baby, I love you very much" I kissed her forehead and then pull her on my chest
Lord have mercy. It's 3 in the morning and my wife asks if I still love her. She is only one month pregnant and all this happens to me.
"Can we sleep now, my love?" I asked gently
"Mmh" she hummed
I lay down and then pull her ontop of me. I wrap my hands around her and she sighed in satisfaction.
"Sleep now sweetheart" I said and she close her eyes. This time i made sure that she was asleep before I close my eyes. I don't want another drops of water in my face.
In the morning I opened my eyes to see Allysa putting on her make up. She was singing excitedly as if it's her first day of work. I glanced at the watch and it was 6 am
"Babe, are you going somewhere?" I went straight to the point
"Oh! You're awake" she said excitedly walking to the bed and give me a short but deep kiss "good morning hubby"
"I see, it's a good morning in deed" I replied watching her roam around the room "do we have a doctor's appointment or something?" I asked again after she clearly ignored my first question
"No, the doctor's appointment is in next week and to answer your first question, I'm going back to the office" she said
"No, no, no, no..come here woman".I pat the bed
"What? It has been three weeks Jared, I think that I have rested enough.."
"No, you haven't. Baby, we talked about this, you need to stay away from that office and those shoes....oh my God" I sighed deeply
"What? What's wrong with my shoes?" She asked looking down at her feet
"They are too high" I said getting off the bed and then bend over to take them off "just take them off"
"But this is what I usually wear" she whinned. Yes, she does wear high heels that are too high, if she accidentally step on you then you can kiss goodbye to your toes.
"I know, but this is too risky. You're gonna hurt yourself" I said
"Now you're being overprotective" she said
"Just think whatever you want but these shoes, are big no. And going back to work? No ma'am. You will stay here and do small movements or you can go relax at Savanna's or Kylie's or maybe you girls can go to a spa or whatever but not working" I said
She crossed her arms and glared at me. Well, I'm used to that.
"I hate you" she said
"I love you too baby" I said kissing her head before walking to the bathroom
"I said, i hate you" she shouted
"And I said I love you too" I shouted back with a big smile and she pout her lips "want a kiss?" I asked
"You wish" she replied before going out of the room. So cute.
As the days went by, the idea of her risky pregnancy fade away since she seemed so fine. Nothing happened since the day she fainted.
She eats well, do some movements around the house, she doesn't feel sick or have a fever. So, I learned to have positive thoughts.
But, this woman has some crazy mood swings. She can laugh and cry at the same time. If she wants a certain food, it's either you bring it or you sleep on the floor, damn, but I love her anyway.
I showered quickly then went downstairs to make breakfast before I leave for work.
"Baby, what do you want to eat?" I asked her, she was sitting on the kitchen counter eating ice cream. Yes, I know it's still morning and that can hurt her stomach but I don't dare to voice it out.
She looked me up and down and then went back to her ice cream
"Okay, I'm making pancakes" I said and start making breakfast. She didn't say a single word.
The breakfast was ready, we ate and I went upstairs to put on my suit ready to leave.
"Baby, the maid that I hired last week will come today to start working so don't worry about house chores okay" I said but she still gave me silent treatment "bye, I love you" I said kissing her cheek and start walking to the door
"Jared!" She called and I turn to listen "why do you smell so good" she asked walking towards me and start sniffing my suit jacket "gosh, you smell so good"
I sighed. Is this the woman who was mad at me the whole time?
"Don't go to the office" she said "I'll miss you" she lay her head on my chest
"Allysa-"
"Please baby" she pleaded and then wrap her hands around my neck before jumping on me. Her legs went around my waist and she buried her face on my neck
Well, I guess there is no going to the office today.
"Can we dance to our wedding song?"she asked
"Sure babe" I said walking with her to the home theatre and put on our wedding song, then I put her down and we start dancing slowly.
Her face was still buried on my neck as we dance, alot of emotions started to run through us and I felt something wet on my shoulder. She was crying but I didn't barge. I know she needed a little privacy that's why she hid her face. So I just acted like I didn't feel her tears and continue to dance.
As the song continues, we heard a huge bang on the door and then grandpa entered
"Grandpa" we both said
"Welcome, we were just-" Allysa didn't finish her sentence cause grandpa walked to me and strike me with a big slap
Allysa's hands flew to her mouth as I touch my cheek with confusion
"How dare you, did I teach you to be like this?" He asked
"Like what?" I asked
"Come in" he shouted and my eyes darkened as I see Amara and her mom step in my house
"What is she doing here?" I asked
"You are going to marry her as a second wife" grandpa shouted
Allysa gasped and Amara smirked at her.
What did she feed grandpa? This little bitch.
