Allysa pov
I was in the office dealing with alot of stuff that Jared has failed to accomplish because of his low level of caring
"I'm sorry Mr Donovan, I will schedule a meeting for you" I pleased
"Your boss is very arrogant, I will do it because of you. You're such a kind lady" he said and I rolled my eyes. Kind my foot.
"Thank you Mr Donovan, looking forward to see you" I faked a smile as if he can see me.
"Just call me Vans, I'm not that old" he flirted and I couldn't wait to get off the phone before I lash out on him
Fucking Jared! Always making me to pick up after his mess. I was angry, why can't he do anything right? I was busy on my thoughts when I heard heels coming my way.
Here we go again.
"Hi Ally" the girl greeted but I stayed silent "Is Jared here?" She asked
"He is not" I replied not looking at her
"Can you tell him I'm here?" She said and I stayed silent again "Allysa, I'm talking to you" she raised her voice at me
What the hell? She asked for this.
I looked at her in the face for the first time since she arrived and she stumble back in fear. My face was serious and scary. I slam my hands on the table before standing up to meet her level
"Who do you think you are to raise your voice at me, huh? You're just some cheap woman wearing cheap clothes and cheap cologne and yet you come here to raise your voice at me? Me Allysa? Are you out of your mind woman? Do you think whoring yourself inside Jared's office will make him fall for you?" I shouted and the girl eyes went wide, she couldn't believe that table have turned so quickly "on the count of three, I don't want to see your face or I will slap your face hard and your lover can't do nothing about it"
"1, 2..." I shouted
"Is he your husband or something?" The girl asked and I was taken aback
"Pardon?"
"I've been wanting to ask you this since the first day I saw you. Are you married to Jared? Arranged marriage maybe? Because everytime you speak, he became quiet, he does everything you say. Are you perhaps blackmailing him?" She said and I was close to slap her face when Jason my co worker came and pull her away.
Gosh! I can't believe this. I sat down quietly continuing with my work when another person approached
"Excuse me"
"What?" I shouted, I was stressed out. The boy flinched "sorry" I apologised immediately
"Are you Allysa?"
"Yes, how can I help you?" I asked
"There is a package for you. From Jared Parker" the boy said handing me the package and a place to sign and then he left.
Giving me bribe now, huh? I thought as I opened the box. There was a beautiful emerald green dress and gold heels. He is really something. A smile tugged on my face, he can be a human sometimes.
As I was still admiring my dress the door was push open to reveal the one and only Jared Parker. My smile fade quickly as I stood up to follow him to his office.
"What was that?" I pointed at the box
"I'm fine thanks Allysa, and how are you" he said sarcastically. I just rolled my eyes, since when do we greet each other.
"Just save it Jared, why are you bribing me?" I asked again
"It's not a bribe. We have somewhere to go this Saturday. Ryan is renewing his vows and you will be my date" he explained
"Did you even care to ask if I was available on the day?" I shouted
"Why would I ask while I very well know about your boring life" he shouted back
"Oh really? Then I'm not going " I shouted
"Allysa!"
"I'm not going Jared, find one of your sluts to accompany you"
"You know I have none" his voice turned soft "just go with me Ally" he said softly and his words were starting to penetrate deep inside my heart.
Everytime he talks to me like that, my heart stills and I found myself giving in to whatever he wants.
"Ask nicely" I said softly folding my hands on my chest and look away from him
"Can you be my date Allysa?" He said but still I wasn't budging "Pleasee.." he added and I almost drop to the ground.
The great Jared never says please. He doesn't need to say it to anybody because his one word is all it takes for people to run like crazy
"Fine, I will go" I said lazily but he cheered quickly. He moved to where I stood and gave me a quick hug
"Thanks woman, that's why you're my best person in this world" he moved to take his jacket and then said "you can cancel all the meetings and take the day off. I'm out too. See you tomorrow" I was stunned by his actions that I barely moved from where I was standing
Is this even Jared? Is he his twin or something? Jared never hugs, never smiles. Gosh! What's happening? I had alot of questions that I didn't see him leave.
When he was completely out of the door that's when I came to my senses.
"Damn Allysa, what was that?" I touched my face and it was very hot " why are you hot?" I asked myself and then remembered "Damnit, I forgot to tell him about Vans. Damnit! Damnit!" I kept on cursing myself before going back to my table.
Because my boss was not here so there was no need for me to be here too. So I decided to close my things and left the office.
Well, another mad day was over. Let's see how tomorrow will be.
And that Saturday will be a hell of a ride. It always has been when me and Jared attend events together. Sigh
I got off work and went direct to my apartment, as Jared said,.my life is really boring. I always go to work and then home and then office in repeat. I don't have friends nor relatives. Since that fateful day, I lost everything, even myself.
