"He's staying with you!?"
"You did what!?"

Hitoshi looks away, silently cringing at how loud his friends are. Looking around, he noticed the entire coffee shop customers staring at them. Hitoshi simply hopes that they don't complain and get them kicked out.

"Could you both lower your voices? You are in public, remember?"

Uraraka folds her arms and huffs in annoyance.

"I don't understand why you're so calm. This is your opportunity!"

Hiroshi rolls his eyes and drinks his coffee, regretting having bought it up. The wedding fiasco had happened just the day before and he thought about asking for some advice, clearly it had been a mistake. Attempting to ignore her and hoping they change the subject, he kept quiet.

"You know... I must agree with Ochako, ribbit"

Hitoshi glares at Asui, betrayed by her comment.

" It truly is an opportunity, ribbit." Asui pauses for a moment, contemplating her next words.
"It sure isn't something that happens every day, ribbit."

Hitoshi sighs in frustration. He knows his friends are right, but his social skills are in the negatives and he doesn't know how to even begin fixing his relationship with Denki. How does he even start?
All of the sudden a voice was heard from Uraraka's phone.

"You know... I'm sure Kaminari would appreciate your honesty. Honesty Is one of the fundamental principles of a healthy relationship "

There it was... Izuku giving good advice, that is unfortunately easier said than done. He was currently face timing them, since he had work today but was currently on his break. Shouto could be seen in the background as well, probably eating cold soba.

"We aren't in a relationship. We are high school friends that lost contact on bad terms, and now I'm helping him. You know, cause his fiance cheated on him. Remember?"

Hitoshi countered, annoyed by their insistence. He wasn't about to try and talk to his highschool crush about feelings when said crush just ended his relationship the day prior.

"How could we forget? We stayed back to clean the mess, it was quite the show"

"Shouto!" Izuku turned around and looked at his partner in disbelief.

Shouto barely spared him a glance before saying

"What? It's true"

Izuku sighed in defeat before turning to Hitoshi once more.

"I'm not saying you need to start dating or anything like that, but at least start to build your friendship once more. Kaminari is a good guy and so are you. You both deserve to be happy, regardless of you two dating"

Hitoshi looked down at his coffee, taking in Izuku's words. He didn't get much time with just his thoughts though.

"Okay, but how long is he staying with you?"

Hitoshi looked up, meeting Ochako's curious face.

"Um... I'm not too sure. He said that it'll probably be like two weeks, more or less."

Both girls looked at each other and nodded in agreement to their seemingly telepathic conversation before turning to Hitoshi at the same time. Their eyes glow in excitement, or mischief.

"Well, it's decided. You must fix your friendship by the end of those two weeks!"

Hitoshi gulped nervously. This was going to be a long day.

Hitoshi sighed tiredly as he walked into his apartment. He loved his friends, he really did, but they just spent the entire time talking about him.
A voice coming from the kitchen interrupted his thoughts.

"Is everything alright?"

Hitoshi looked up and found an awkwardly looking Denki standing by the kitchen. Despite this, he had a bit of a frown, showing concern. Hitoshi found endearing the fact that, although clearly nervous and uncomfortable, Denki still seemed to worry about him.

"Yeah... just my friends can be a little too much sometimes. Anyway, I thought you had gone out to talk to your friends."

Hitoshi took his shoes off and placed his coat on the coat rack. The atmosphere seemingly tense and awkward.

"Uh... oh! Yeah! I did, but um..." Denki fidget nervously while trying to think about his answer. "They can be a little too much...?"

Hitoshi didn't answer, waiting for Denki to elaborate and unsure of how to respond at that. The silence didn't stretch for long before Denki opened his mouth again

"I mean... they're just worried about me! I know they are! But they can be... a little intense."

Hitoshi huffed a laugh.

"Yes, I'm sure they were. You guys can get carried away, especially if Bakugo was there."

Denki gasped and dramatically placed one of his hands on his chest, exaggerating indignation.

"How dare you? When have we ever gotten carried away?"

Without missing a beat, Hitoshi answers

"The real question here is when have you not gotten carried away?"

Both glared at each other. Denki with indignation while hitoshi smirked maliciously.
This lasted a few seconds before Denki bursted out laughing, Hitoshi followed not long after.

"I see you haven't lost your sense of humor." Said Denki between giggles and smirks.

After calming down, they both looked at each other, small smiles on their faces. Any previous tension gone.

A few minutes passed in which they simply looked at each other. Hitoshi finally made up his mind and spoke.

"And...how are you holding up? I know you two dated for some time"

Denki instantly understood what Hitoshi was talking about. Although Denki kept his smile, a hint of sadness could be seen in his eyes.

"I'm okay... I'm not going to say that everything is alright but I was honestly able to digest most of it already. When I first found out about it, I was devastated but I wasn't lying when I said that my love for her had completely vanished. I didn't think she was capable of such a thing. I had a month to think about it and had already made up my mind before yesterday, but that morning solidified it for me."

Denki sighed and looked down contemplating, a slight frown forming on his face. After a few seconds, Denki looked up, meeting Hitoshi's eyes.

"You know... I really wanted to thank you for letting me stay here, it truly means a lot to me."

Hitoshi walked a bit closer to Denki and placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. Both looking at the other in the eyes, and Hitoshi admiring the other's golden shine.

"It's not a big deal Denki, that's what friends are for"

Denki's eyes widened at that before smiling once more.

"Yeah... friends"
