After wandering the beautiful city I grew up in for the past 3 hours alone
I got to my last destination
The Barcelona academy fields
I still knew a coach from when my father played at barca so getting in was no problem
I called my parents and let them knew I was good
I couldn't make it around to texting pedri or Mia or Gavi for that matter
But I was here where he's supposed to be
Once I get in and begin to walk towards the fields
As I'm walking down the pathway I hear a familiar voice
"Carmen" I hear
I turn around and see Ronald running up
"Hey Ron" I say stopping and hugging him
"What's up? Nobody told me you were here" he says
"Well my birthday is tomorrow so this was my gift, im visiting for the next couple of days" I respond
"Well joy, why did you stumble all the way out here?" He asks
"Uh im looking for Gavi" I say softly
"Oh well he's with all the little 8 year olds, I can walk you over before I head out" he offers
"Thank you" I say as he begins walking with me
We walk to the field and I spot Gavi messing Around with the kids
It made me smile seeing him so happy and goofy
"Well niña it's been my pleasure but I gotta get home" he announces
"Alright, safe drive and see you later" I say giving him a high five
He waves and begins walking away
I walk onto the field and walk towards Gavi
He doesn't notice me until one of the kids says something
He turns around and his eyes glimmer
My heart does actual back flips
"Carmen what are you doing here? Everyone is worried sick about you" he says while pulling me into a hug
"Yeah I'm just really tired and just like annoyed and I needed to talk to a certain someone more than I thought." I responded
"well I'm glad your okay, what happened pedri called me and just freaked."
"Yeah, he just told me about him and Mia m. Which is completely okay, but they lied when I asked and that hurt" I say while pulling out of the hug
He frowns and looks at the ground before speaking up
"I'm sorry, but it's wrong if I Lie for any longer and I don't want to ruin what we have" he says taking a deep breath
"I knew about Mia and pedri" he says
"It's fine, you were trying to be a good friend and keep the secret." I say to him
"But I'm still sorry you deserve the truth and nothing more than the truth" he says grabbing my hand and looking into my eyes
Do. Not. Fold
Is all I can think right now
"Thank you Gavi" I say
"Did you drive here?" He asks me
"No I walked, I think I might Uber back to Mia's house"
"No way. Give me 5 minutes to finish up with these kids then I will drive you back" he says
I nod and go sit in a bench
He looks so adorable with the kids
It honestly warming my heart

Just as Gavi pulls up to Carmen's house and before I get out he stops me
"Tomorrow is you birthday correct?" He asks
"Yes, why do you ask"
"Do you have any plans"
"I'm going shopping with Mia in the morning, then I'm supposed to get lunch with pedri, I gotta figure out if that's still happening then I'm free the rest of the night" I say
"Let's do something then, how about a movie at my house? I think pedri is helping with the academy practice tomorrow so it'll just be us." He proposes
"That sounds good, text me a time" I say
as I'm about to get out he grabs my arm stopping me again
I turn to look at him and he kisses me
Great. I've folded
The kiss was short and sweet
"Good night amor" he says
"Goodnight Gavi" I say
This time I make it out of the car
I wave to him before walking inside of Mia's house
I walk in and I don't see her parents anywhere
I go upstairs and I see Mia
She looks like she's been crying. Her eyes are red and puffy
"Oh my god your alive" she says dashing up and going to hug me
"I'm sorry for not calling I was just thinking" I say
"You don't have to apologize, I'm sorry for lying for so long. We just didn't know what you'd say and we didn't want you to be mad" she begins to reason
"It's alright blanquita, I'm fine I just was hurt in the moment" I say
"Well you need to call pedri or text him because he's been worried sick, like absolutely sick" she says
"I'll call him, but you know your parents are missing right?"
"They are out they'll be back later in the night" she says
I nod and go downstairs to the back garden and call pedri
Why is it always so freaking cold when I need to have important conversations outside
He picks up on the second ring

Before I go to sleep I do four things
Call my parents and think about Gavi
Text Neymar and thing about Gavi
Text Gavi and think about Gavi
And oh yeah
