Chaapter 34

We stand in an awkward silence for a second before he speaks

"We can talk in my room" he says flatly and walks away

I follow him into the room and he shuts the door

I place the muffins down on the desk and sit in a chair as he walks over and sits on the side of the bed

"I'm not in love with him" I say bluntly

Gavi pauses and gives me a confused look

"What I had said to him was that there was a small part of me that would always love and care for him because I just wanted the best for him and Delphine" I say

"Okay I understand that, but I don't understand why you didn't express anything about that whole situation to avoid This current situation we are in right now" he says as his eyes go soft

"I know that, I just didn't want any drama because you just got here and then we had started dating. I don't know it's stupid.I just didn't want any drama." I sigh and drop my head

It's quiet for a moment until he stands up

For a second I thought he was going to leave.but much to my shock he walked over to me and squatted down to my level

"Do you want to know what I love about you?" He asks

I lift my head up to hear what he has to say

"You will put everyone else before you. Their feelings, their actions and consequences. Everyone comes before you in your mind. But as much as I love that, I don't want that. I want it to be mutual I want us to be able to fall back on each other" he says

"I know, I'm sorry I just wanted you to b-" I begin before he cuts me off

"See like right there I want you to want stuff for yourself not just me, I really want us to work and I know it's two sided so I'm trying to be honest and trust you and ask you before I flip out, so now I need you to be able to put yourself before me sometimes" he says

"Okay, I'll try but I'm not promising immediate results it's going to take time" I say

"I want you to understand that you matter more than you think" he says randomly

"You don't give yourself enough credit and I want you to give yourself more credit, be fair to yourself" he adds and grabs my hands

"I'm going to try this for you, for us" I say as he stands up and pulls me up as well

"Well that's great, now that we have than understanding we are good" he laughs as he pulls me in for a kiss

I kiss him back and the kiss last for a minute before it starts to get more intense.

But just before anything could happen we heard Pedri's voice and footsteps getting closer to the door

We backed off each other as the door flew open

"Are we good now" he asks

"We are good" I say
