It was around noon when the unexpected happened. The gang-Ponyboy, Johnny, Steve, Sodapop, Darry, Two Bit, and Dally-are all sitting around the Curtis house when a small sneeze is heard. Everyone looks around, trying to find the source of the sound. Looks of shock find their faces when they saw Dallas Winston covering his face with his arm.
"You sick, Dal?" Darry questions.
"No."
"You sneezed," Ponyboy points out.
"I did not," Dally responds sternly.
"Okay, Dal, let's go on a walk," Steve says when seeing his boyfriend getting angry.
"Alright."
The two of them leave the house, Dally letting out a string of sneezes and coughs. Steve sighs as he drags his boyfriend towards his house. When they reach Steve's house, Dally is pushed towards the younger's bedroom. Steve forces Dally into the bed and covers him up.
"Steve, I'm no-"
"Shut up, Winston, and let me take care of you," Steve says sternly as he grabs a wet wash cloth from his bathroom, placing it on Dally's forehead.
"Fine," Dally says in faux anger.
Steve leaves the room after placing a soft kiss on Dally's forehead. He is quick to cook chicken noodle soup and returned with a hot bowl and spoon on a tray. He places the tray on the side table and grabs the bowl. He carefully lifts the spoon to Dally's mouth. Dally accepts the food while rolling his eyes. He might seem annoyed, but he truly does appreciate Steve. After the bowl is empty, Steve places it on the table again. He climbs in next to Dally and lets the hood lay his head on his chest. It's rare that Dally acts 'small', and only Steve ever sees it. He loves these times, though. Holding Dally is one of his favorite things to do, and he would do it all day every day if he could.
