Ellie's POV

"Can't you both just stop?" Carli asked a few seats down across the table. Pinoe and I were joking around and we couldn't stop giggling.

"Sorry, Carli." I managed to say, "We can't help it."

"Yeah." Pinoe agreed as we kept giggling like maniacs.

Carli sighed and went back to eating her breakfast as Pinoe and I slowly stopped being annoying. The USSF had come up with a tournament called SheBelieves, and I've been called up for it, along with a few others. They wanted it to be held during the NWSL preseason, and here we are, in Tampa.

"Hey, I got an idea," Pinoe whispered, and I leaned in. She whispered something we could say to annoy Kelley with and I agreed. Alex was sitting across from me and she kicked me in the shin, "Ah, fuck." I said as I moved my leg up and hit my knee on the bottom of the table. Everyone started to laugh as I rubbed my shin, "What was that for?"

"You and Pinoe are being annoying," Alex says while smirking.

Tobin, Christen, Ali, Ashlyn, Carli, Heather, Amy, Kelley, Sonnett and the team staff were laughing, before Jill got up to speak. She pretty much told us to hurry up since we're meant to be at the stadium for practice soon and that the bus will be arriving shortly. We all got up and made our way to the bus, I sat beside Alex and Pinoe sat in front of us. I looked out the window, watching the scenery as we drove to the stadium as everyone talked to each other while Crystal was playing music through her bluetooth speaker. We arrived at the stadium and everyone got out, the team walking towards the locker rooms, Crystal's music still playing.

We eventually got to the locker room and got changed into our practice gear. We did our warm up exercises and then started to practice, the team working together in perfect harmony. I was doing a passing drill with Christen, and we were chatting in between passes. I noticed in the corner of my eye that Sonnett was talking to Kelley, I looked over to Pinoe and she was grinning before giving me a nod. That's when we started singing after finishing our drills, "Ohhhh, So'hara....."

The whole team started to laugh as Sonnett and Kelley shook their heads, both of their faces slightly red. Kelley then picked up the nearest ball next to her and threw it at me and Pinoe, and we dodged it. The team was laughing and so was Pinoe and I, until Jill blew the whistle. "Everyone, focus! Otherwise at the end of practice I'll make you all do laps!" Everyone stopped laughing and went back to practice, and the rest of practice went by without any more shenanigans. After practice was over, everyone got changed and we made our way back to the bus. Kelley sat down next to me and gave me a look, "So'hara, huh?"

I grinned, "Yeah, your ship name with Sonnett. We thought it was cute." Kelley rolled her eyes, but I could see the corners of her mouth twitching. "Whatever," she said, but I could tell she was secretly pleased. We all talked on the bus ride back to the hotel, talking about our plans for the next day. Once we got back to the hotel, everyone went to their rooms to unwind. I walked into the room I was sharing this camp with Tobin, and opened the door before dumping my bag on the floor and crashing on my bed. I laid there, took a deep breath and went on my phone to check Twitter. Nothing of interest caught my eye until I saw a post from one of the many journalists in the league.

Update on the lawsuit against the NWSL: A date has been set for the trial and it's going to be a long one. The trial is set for March 25th of 2016 in front of a set of jurors at the Los Angeles County Superior Court. The NWSL Commissioner, Jeff Plush, has stated that they will fight this lawsuit to the best of their ability and will do whatever it takes to make sure that the league remains competitive and fair for all teams. If the court is in favor of Al Stevens and the Coliseum, then the relocation of the team to Los Angeles will go through. The Stingers will continue to play the upcoming season in Oakland until the lawsuit is resolved.

I put my phone down and thought about what it'd be like playing in Los Angeles, how much fun we'd all have, plus I imagined what it'd be like in a new stadium and not one where it's run down. Our current one is good, and the fan base is super loyal, but I know it'd suck for them to lose their NWSL team. Either way, the prospect of playing in LA is exciting but I better not get my hopes up since if the court rules in favor of the league, then we're stuck in Oakland.

I have to admit though, Los Angeles Stingers does sound pretty cool for a team name.
