Jimin walked ahead, his effortless charm unmistakable, with Jennie beside him-radiant, like a beacon in the crowd. I followed silently, my heart pounding as we approached the school gate.
But just as I leaned in, caught in the quiet pull between us, a sudden tug yanked me backward. Someone had grabbed the strap of my bag from behind. I stumbled slightly, startled, the moment shattered in an instant.
Then, as if drawn by some invisible force, I found myself gravitating toward her.
She reached out, her fingers gently brushing my blazer, the gesture delicate yet charged with a silent yearning.

In a hazy state, she gazed at me with eyes brimming with innocence.
Her hand slipped into her skirt pocket, clutching onto that small note - the same note we had given her.
Then, she grasped my right hand, her fingers so warm, delicate, like a baby's. Before I could fathom it all, she placed the note in my palm and departed without uttering a word!?
What manner of behavior was this? Was she mute? And more perplexing, why return the note to me? These questions swirled in my mind.
Despite my initial intent to discard the note, I hesitated, compelled to open it as if anticipating something more.
Unfolding it, I found Jimin's message, "Apologize to Mr. Yang, he'll let you sit," which left me disheartened.
Yet, when I turned it over, a simple "Thank you" in pencil caught my eye, unexpectedly making my cheeks flush.
Confused by my own reaction, I decided to keep the note in my pocket, a silent token of an unspoken connection.
