Taehyung's Pov
I darted across the street as fast as I could, finally reaching our apartment building.

Running up the stairs two steps at a time, I noticed that the elevator was under maintenance. Anxious and breathless, I unlocked the door to my flat.

My pulse raced, and my palms quivered uncontrollably. I was trembling; there was no denying it. This was fear.

Fear, I realized, wasn't solely dependent on instinctive responses. It was also shaped by our societies and cultures, which taught people when to fear and to what extent. In that moment, I was overwhelmed with fear.

I had experienced loss in my life, and this was the last emotion I wanted to face – the fear of losing someone.

I was nearly there. As I entered the room, I saw Jihyo standing beside the bed where my grandma lay. A man in his 40s was examining her with a stethoscope, and there was another girl in her twenties present.

I rushed towards the bed and hugged my grandma tightly. In that moment, all I wanted was a warm embrace, and nothing else. The thought of something happening to Grandma filled me with terror.

"Aigoo, stop Tae, you have become a giant now. I can't handle your strength,"
Grandma muttered, patting my back.

"I was so stressed,"
I mumbled.

"The reason she almost blacked out was that she hadn't eaten anything,"
the man explained.

"Dehydration can occur if you don't drink enough, causing your blood pressure to drop and potentially making you faint. There's nothing serious, but please make sure she eats on time," he insisted.

Before I could finish my sentence and ask who he was, the man spoke with a small smile.

"I'm your neighbor, and I happen to be a doctor. And this is my daughter, Joy. Your sister came to our door crying for help, and as soon as we heard, we rushed over."

I thanked him, and he left some medicines on the table.
"Hi, I'm Joy. I heard about you guys from your brother. Welcome to Seoul,"

she said with a friendly smile.

"I'm Taehyung, nice to meet you, and thank you so much for helping us today,"

I introduced, returning her smile.

"Thank you, unnie," Jihyo chimed in, grinning. "It's alright.

Call me whenever you guys need something. And Granny, please take care and have these medicines," she said before leaving and bidding us goodbye.

As soon as she left, I couldn't help but raise my voice. "Yah, can't you take care of Grandma, just for one day?"
