In the dimly lit school hallway, a shiver ran down our spines as we, the group of eager students, gathered to present our solar project. Each of us clutched our projects nervously, but it was Jimin who held the solar charger, a beacon of energy in the gloom.

As the tension mounted, I assumed the role of the confident leader, guiding my apprehensive group on what to say and how to captivate the looming crowd. My own confidence soared, but I couldn't help but notice the undercurrent of uncertainty in my teammates' eyes.

Turning to Jennie, I asked, "Did you memorize the introduction?" Her hesitant nod revealed her anxiety. This was uncharted territory, a presentation for the entire batch, an unexpected twist that left us all bewildered.

Tears welled up in Jennie's eyes, and she choked out, "Why did they make these changes?" I offered reassurance, "It's alright, Jennie. It's not as daunting as it seems." Jimin, oozing charisma and eloquence, chimed in, "Just wear that lovely smile and recite what you've learned. It's a breeze."

Jim's words were no exaggeration; his magnetic charm and rich vocabulary made him an invaluable ally in such situations. I knew keeping him by my side was a smart move.

Amidst the tension, I wondered aloud, "Where's y/n?" The ominous silence that followed was only broken by a foreboding thought: "She must be late because of the bus." But a sudden realization crept in, "Wait, we ride the same bus, and I didn't see her this morning."

Desperation clawed at me as I pleaded, "Could you please make a call?" I implored her, feeling the urgency creeping in.

"I'm trying," she said, her fingers dancing on the screen as she dialed the number and waited for a response.

After what seemed like an eternity, she looked at me with a hint of concern in her eyes. "Taehyung, I don't know why, but her phone is unavailable at the moment," Jennie informed me, her voice tinged with worry.

Frustration welled up inside me, and I couldn't help but blurt out, "Are you kidding me?" The pressure was mounting as Mr. Yoongi's voice echoed through the hall, reminding us, "Guys, we will begin within 20 minutes. Please be seated."

Panicked, I turned to Jennie, desperation etched on my face. "What are we going to do now? First, Kevin isn't in the project, and now it's down to five of us. If she doesn't arrive, will we even be considered a group?" My voice rose, drawing puzzled glances from our peers.

Jimin, always quick with a solution, suggested, "You should go and bring her." I looked at him, baffled by the idea.

"What?" I questioned, disbelief evident in my tone.

"Just go and bring her. Take this," he insisted, handing me his bike key. My immediate reaction was resistance. "No way, I'm not doing that," I replied firmly.

Jimin fixed me with a serious gaze, his words carrying weight.

"Tae, if you don't do it, she might get even more late, and that could result in us getting disqualified."

Panic surged through me. I didn't even have her address, and I must have looked lost because Jennie raised her hand, offering a lifeline.

In the gray and eerie light of the morning, I raced down the desolate highway on my bike,

its engine roaring like a beast unleashed, as I fervently followed the cryptic directions Jennie had supplied..

My bike's engine hummed as I approached a quiet alley, flanked by a house with a beautiful garden, where flowers danced in the sunlight, and butterflies flitted around.

I removed my helmet and surveyed the scene.

The blue house that Jennie had described stood before me.

I cautiously opened the gate, aware of the strict nature of the household and the absence of y/n's father, as Jennie had mentioned. It seemed safer to arrive when he was away.

However, as I took cautious steps toward the house, I heard something that sent chills down my spine.

The air was filled with the sounds of breaking and shouting from inside the house. A man's angry voice cut through the night, raising suspicions.

I hid myself, trying to catch a glimpse inside. What I witnessed next left me stunned.

"Please, please don't do anything to her. She was at Jennie's place,"

a lady, presumably y/n's mother, pleaded desperately. Her facial features matched those of y/n.

The man's response was chilling.

"For a fact, I know she wasn't at Jennie's place because I met Jennie's father today. I thanked him for letting her stay the night because of the rain. But you know what he said? They were not at our house!"

His anger was palpable.

I saw y/n standing before him, a small figure, as his eyes burned with rage.

"Why did you lie?" he demanded, his voice escalating. He screamed and shattered a glass on the table in frustration.

As my eyes widened, I witnessed y/n's defiant response. "Or else? What will you do?"

She screamed back, her voice nearly breaking. I could hear the pain in her words.

Her father's reaction was horrifying.

With an inhuman brutality, he raised his hand and delivered a brutal slap to her delicate face. The sound of the impact reverberated like a sinister symphony. I watched in horror as she crumpled to the ground, her very soul shattered

I watched in shock as she fell to the ground.

"Haha, you're a disgusting father, you know that?"

She started laughing, her laughter tinged with madness. It was a chilling sight, and my heart ached.

I couldn't bear to witness the disturbing scene any longer. Tears welled up in my eyes as I sat on the cold ground, hugging myself.

The cries, the laughter, the violence—it was all too much for me to handle.

With a heavy heart, I made the difficult decision to leave the place, unable to comprehend the horrors unfolding within those walls. I mounted my bike and sped away, leaving y/n behind in that nightmarish house of darkness.
