Taehyung POV
" Y/N let's go , i have some work i cannot stay here any longer" Kevin spoke holding her wrist to take her with him.
"But my part isn't done yet" she shuttered
""It's fine, Jennie will do yours and Y/N's parts, will you?" he asked.
Jennie was about to nod when I intervened. "Jennie has a lot to write on her part."
Jennie nodded in agreement. "You, what the heck is your problem, huh?" Kevin growled.
"Nothing, I just don't like useless people who cannot do their own work and keep passing it to others," I ranted.
"You, who are you to call—"
Did I make the wrong move? I thought to myself as I could see her staring at me as if she's disturbed by my choice of words.
"I'll complete my part and go. You can go alone, Kev," she cut him off, glaring right into my eyes.
My lips carelessly curved into a smile upon hearing her response. Swiftly, I redirected my gaze downward, concealing the satisfaction behind that smile.
I felt a sense of gratification; I desired her to assert herself.
Every time I observed them, it was glaringly obvious he was exerting control, and she seemed uncomfortable with it.
Yet, the lingering question in my mind persisted:
Why am I engaging in all this? Why involve myself when I was explicitly warned not to?
Y/N pov
"Nothing, I don't like useless people who cannot do their own work and keep passing it to others," he ranted.
What did he just say? Did he imply that I'm useless? I felt offended, and an involuntary chuckle escaped me as fury surged within.
"You, who are you to call—"
"I'll complete my part and go. You can go alone, Kev," I cut him off, attempting to calm myself down.
"You don't have to" he glared at me.
I removed my wrist from his grip and took a seat.
"I said you should go. Bye, take care," I answered calmly.
He must have felt insulted by my behavior, so he hastily left. I acknowledge I shouldn't have reacted that way, but that guy from Busan wounded my ego, essentially disrespecting me.
