Sabrina couldn't help but beam at his request. She held the ball in her hands, sauntering so close to him that she was sure that she could feel his longing. She fought her curiosity to look down and prepared to whoop him in this game.
"Game on, Levi" She handed him the ball and got in position to play.
Levi and his boys stood on their side, throwing the ball up to start the game.
It was safe to say the game got intense quickly, and other people in the resort came to watch. Sabrina was effortlessly deflecting the boys' hits which had Levi fuming. He wasn't expecting her to be actually good and that was beginning to throw him.
She could sense him becoming more embarrassed and angry as time was passing and now as they reached their third round of the game, it was becoming clear that Levi was willing to do whatever it took to win.
"Girl, you got his knickers in a twist. He doesn't know what to do with himself" Mena laughed, high-fiving Sabrina.
" Sis, he doesn't know how we South London girls roll. Losing ain't an option for us, plus I like when I make a nigga sweat" Sabrina rolled the ball in her hands before getting ready to serve.
" You know like that!"
The game started back up again, with hits going back and forth that had the crowd following the ball from side to side, cheering along. As they were approaching the end, Levi attempted to dunk on them but Azani sneakily ducked to hit the ball just in time for Sabrina to smash the ball down past Marcus and Omar, making them the winners of the game.
" Yeah, yeah" The girls celebrated, hugging each other as the crowd whooped away.
As the cheering died and crowds dispersed, Sabrina made her way towards him and she already knew that he was going to be salty about it.
" What drinks will you be getting us? Because I'm in the mood for something strong." She eyed his steady gaze that was rich in frustration. She couldn't lie, she was enjoying him being pissed off way more than she should.
" Whatchu ladies want?" He smirked, redirecting his response to her friends standing behind her.
"Anything to make me forget that my ex is here in Antigua" Mena grumbled, rolling her eyes as she stomped towards the resort bar.
" Mena!" Azani called out after her, following behind.
" A shot of Wray and a Painkiller for me" Sabrina requested, leaving a soft pat on his disgruntled face as she followed her friends.
She knew he was probably mugging her but she also knew that he secretly liked the teasing.
As everyone crowded the bar, she felt a strong presence hover behind her, and suddenly, two distinct toned arms were placed on either side of her on the bar.
" You enjoying this, aren't you?" He whispered in her ear, she swore she could feel his lips almost touch her ear and that in itself was enough to set her off.
"Of course, you look like some fun can do you some good anyway" She taunted him after spinning around to face him.
He merely smirked and ordered what she asked for. She would be lying if she wasn't enjoying him towering over her 5ft5 stature.
For the most part, she was completely captivated by his beauty. He had this mischievousness that danced in his eyes that kept her very interested, she felt that he definitely matched her energy.
They maintained strong eye contact as they did simple cheers with their glasses.
Even though words hadn't been exchanged in some time, she could feel the palpable tension that boiled between them.
Separating themselves away from the crowd, they situated themselves next to a nearby tree, sitting close to each other.
" Never got your name" Levi voiced.
" I didn't give it out " Sabrina responded, looking out towards the sea.
" How else am I supposed to say your name when the time comes?" He admired her beauty whilst draping his arm around her shoulders. She welcomed it by tracing her delicate fingers across his muscles.
She knew where he was going with this but she felt it was better not to give him the satisfaction of knowing when. She chose to deflect instead.
" What's the tattoo supposed to mean?" She genuinely enquired.
" I like lions, that's all. You gone ignore my question?" He nuzzled his face in her neck, caressing her fingers.
She shifted her position, breaking his hold to kneel in front of him. Holding his attention, she cupped his face in her hands which she could tell had him a little confused.
Inches away from his lips, her eyes travelled from his lips to his enticing brown orns, tracing the softness of his skin. A soft graze against his lips and she heard her favourite sound to ever leave a man's mouth: a low purring grunt.
" Don't worry, you'll know soon enough" Rising from her position, she left him to ponder on the moment that equally had her swimming in a pool of nerves.
As she made her way back to the villa without her friends, her mind was swimming with various thoughts.
He's so sexy, way too sexy to be alone. So funny how he's tryna act cool but it's not hard to see through all that flustering.
But deep down in her mind, she could feel herself getting affected by him too. Nooooooo, this couldn't be happening. She was all for the teasing and flirting but anything that went beyond that was crossing into ' falling in love territory'. She couldn't go there again, not after what happened with Cameron.
She moved to her side on the soft bed, feeling the delicate wind working its way into the room. She could only hope that she could get what she wanted from him and move from that, she wasn't prepared to go through any heartbreak again.
