Besides Tigerstar, Scourge is probably by far the most misunderstood villain in the warriors books. He is most definitely deserves his title as murderer and such and such, but until you figure our his back story, you can't judge him.
So let's start off with the bad he did, I'm going to break things up so that way it'll be easier.
He murdered a few cats, he murdered Tigerbutt, he started a MAJOR war between BloodClan and the forest, he set Tigerstar off(Think about it) and he's just an over all ass(Gasp!! Such language!)
Let's start with him as a kitten. He was named Tiny. That's great for self esteem don't you think? How many people do you know who run around with the name Shorty, or Chubby? And he had two siblings Socks and Ruby, who verbally and phisically abused him. Yeah they let him play hide and seek. Who reading this was the kid who they never found? Be honest. That's the situation he had. His brother and sister hated his guts and wanted nothing to do with him. His mother even talked about him behind his back. Great start for a healthy childhood.
It gets better. BRING IN THE TIGER!!! When "Tiny" ran away for good, and let me tell you why before I kick this off. Ruby his awesome sister told him he was unwanted, and that unwanted kittens got thrown in the river. That was the literall quote. "You know what they do with unwanted kittens? They get thrown in the river." Great sister I know. Anyway, when he ran away, he met Thistleclaw, Bluefur, and Tigerpaw, and Thistleclaw decided to tell Tigerpaw to "Show this kittypet a lesson." Tigerpaw beat the living snot out of him.
After that traumatic experience, which may I add actually gave him nightmares, he found his way to the alley, where he was made fun of for his small side and collar. Again.
Anyone see where things are going bad yet?
So blah blah, he gets the dog tooth, and now he is starting to gain his power. A lie is what gained him all of his power. And the reason why he decided to take the gamble at power is because he knew that if he used it, he wouldn't be at the bottom anymore. He would finally be someone.
Now we meet Bone and Brick. They want him to kill the dog that is stealing their food. He couldn't refuse. After he scared the dog away with his shadow, he had total control. The sweet kitten Tiny, had turned into Scourge. Then Tigerstar came back, he couldn't forgive, and he couldn't forget, and his revenge came to him gift wrapped.
He was traumatized, abused, and over all mistreated as a kit, and now he is one of the deadliest cats in the series. I think that he deserves to be cut some slack after all this. I'm not saying you need to give him cuddles and love him, just ease up on him. He's had it tough.
Sorry if I seemed kinda jerkish in this one. I'm not in the best mood like I said in the last rant. But its all good.
