Chapter 30

Chanel's POV

I finally get to go home today. The procedure when great and the tumor is hopefully gone for good.

My mom drove me home, I just sat and listened to her talk about what has happened lately.

I wasn't really listening. I just wanted to get home, and sleep.
Of course that wasn't going to happen.
Over half of our family was at my house. I was greeted at the door my Jordan.

It was comforting but still awkward.

We walked into the screening room. It honestly looked like half of Virginia came to our house.

"Hey guys" I said shyly. Jordan grabbed my hand and for once I was thankful. I heard hellos coming from all directions, and a mumbled "bitch" coming from the hoe that came into my hospital room.

My mom started to pass around food to everyone.
"Do you want to go to your room?" Jordan whispered into my ear.

I nodded and he lead the way upstairs. I stopped when we got to the top, I turned to him embarrassed.
"I forgot which one was mine." I said looking at the ground.

"Hey look at me" he said and pushed my chin up to face him. "Do not be ashamed, you will remember I promise." He said looking me straight in the eye.

He leaned in and kissed me softly. I must have felt tense because he pulled away quickly and mumbled a quick "sorry."

He pulled me toward a door. I counted each door until we got there so I won't forget.

I gasped once we stepped in the door. " yeah you did a pretty good job" he chuckled.

I climbed up on my bed and sighed. He just stood by the door awkwardly.
I felt guilty for some reason. He turned to leave.

"Wait!, can you umm lay with me?" I asked shyly.

I could literally see him brighten up. He timidly climbed up beside me.

He wrapped his arm around my waist so I was facing him. " I really hope you remember me Chanel, I miss us together." He said with a smile.

"Me to" I said. I wasn't sure if I meant it, but I feel like I did.

I turned so he was practically spooning me.
"I love you Chanel."

I wasn't sure if he really said it or I was just hearing things.

Jordan's POV

2 weeks. Chanel has been back for 2 weeks.

The only things she has remembered was that she was a cheerleader and some of her ex boyfriends.

We were now in the screening room watching a movie.
Most of her family has left, but who ever was left all went out to eat.

I could hear laughter coming down the hallway towards the screening room.

Matt, Nikki, and Stella walked in laughing at something Matt had said.

"hey guys!" Nikki said. Me and Chanel were on opposite sides of the couch. We have gotten closer, but she was still timid around me.

I can't blame her, I've been different to. I'm scared I'm going to hurt her.

"I'm going to the bathroom." Nikki announced and left. "Can I talk to you?" Matt asked me.

I was hesitant to leave Chanel but I agreed.

Chanel's POV

I was left alone with Stella. I turned my head to my phone hoping she wouldn't say anything.

She sat next to me with a smug look on her face.
"You know he doesn't mean it right?" She said.

"What are you talking about?" I asked getting irritated.

"Jordan, before you got hurt he cheated on you." She said crossing her arms.

I could feel the tears start to build up. I blinked them away and left. I could hear the devil in the screening room, laugh as I let the tears slip.

I though he meant everything. All the time we have spent together. I still didn't remember him, but I liked knowing him all over again.

My breathing hitched and I had to stop on the stairs. I thought I was about to die. I knew it was a panic attack but I didn't know what to do.

I managed to make it up the stairs.

I slid against the wall and tried to control my breathing. I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"Slowly, Chanel, in then out." They whispered.

I eventually could breath normally. I looked up and couldn't believe who I saw.

"We need to stop finding each other like this." Zach said.
