Location: Azur Lane Base, Atlantic Ocean
Jasper was working on some documents for the base. Suddenly, Jamie appeared before him.
"Jasper." She says.
"Hm? What is it?"
"Do you know what date it is?" The Little Light asks.
"Um..." Jasper mutters as he checks on his phone on what the date is. "It is March 16, 3023. Why?"
"Oh my Traveler, have you forgotten!?" Jamie shrieks, surprising Jasper.
"What!? I don't get it!"
"Jasper!" Jamie shouts before letting out a deep sigh. "It's...the anniversary of Commander Zavala"
Hearing that, Jasper widened his eyes as he can't believe he had forgotten an important day.
"...I...see. Connect me to Isaac."
"Already am," Jamie confirmed.
"Isaac," Jasper said.
"Hm? Oh, Jasper. Hey, I didn't know you were calling me. Is there something you need?" Isaac asks.
"It's...the anniversary of Commander Zavala."
Silence came over at the transmission for a minute.
"Is...that so? Are...you going to the Cosmodrome to visit their grave?"
"Yes. Are you coming as well?"
"Of course. I...have to pay tribute to our Commander. I...can't believe it has been a long time, huh?"
"Yea. I...want to leave the base for at least 2 days."
"Alright, that's a good plan. I'll tell HQ we will visit an old friend's grave. I hope they'll accept this sudden request."
Jasper takes a huge breath. "Yea...I hope so as well."
"Alright, I'll update you tomorrow," Isaac says.
"Okay, sounds good."
"Bye."
"Bye."
As the connection was cut off. Jasper rubs his eyes. For some reason, his eyes started to get watery.
"...Jasper," Jamie mutters.
"I'll...be...fine. Can't believe I'm tearing up now." As Jasper wipes his eyes.
"Save those tears for tomorrow."
"Yea...I...know."
Timeskip 1 day later.
Jasper was in his office working on some documentaries as he usually does. Then Jamie appeared.
"Jasper. Ralph is connecting."
Jasper nodded. "Okay. Put him up."
"Hello, Jasper?"
"Isaac. So what did HQ say?"
"They said it's fine but we must return ASAP after two days. I was hoping to add a bit more but they won't budge."
Jasper sighs. "It's alright. I bet Zavala wouldn't like us to mourn anyway. I bet they want us to go back there and continue protecting Humanity."
Isaac chuckles on the other end. "Yah...that's true. Anyway, I'm going to start packing up for the trip. I'll see you at the airport?"
"Yeah, see ya." As the call hangs up. Jasper gets up and goes to the microphone. "Hello, girls. It's your Commander speaking. May I have the faction leaders meet me in the meeting room in about ten minutes? Please and thank you. Have a good day."
