A Returning Legend (Destiny 2 X Azur Lane)

A Miracle

Location: Azur Lane Base, Atlantic Ocean.

Jasper wakes up to find himself on a bed. The room looks to be a patient room.

"Hngh..." Jasper grumbles as he sits upright.

"Oh! You're awake, Jasper!" A female robot voice can be heard.

"Jamie? W-What happened?" He asks as he tries to get his mind straight. Jamie hovers over to him.

"Well...it's a long story. But basically, you got attacked by WW2 planes from those...fox girls? I can't seem to get a good vision of them.  I don't know how they did it but they summoned miniature planes from WW2 and...yeah you're here." Jamie explained. Jasper slowly nods.

"Well, so much for first-time impressions, huh?" Jasper jokes. Then they heard a knock. Jamie disappears and Jasper watches as the entrance opened. From there, a girl with a slender frame and has a medium bust, has long and wavy lavender hair with a single braid tied by a pink ribbon, and has blue eyes came in. She was looking at her clipboard until she looks to see Jasper looking at her. She was suddenly flustered and dropped her clipboard. Jasper tries to get out of bed to help but the girl stops him.

"I-It's okay. I was just surprised that's all." She said as she picks up her clipboard. "You must be the new commander, huh?

"Y-Yes...name is Jasper Smith." Jasper introduced.

"My name is Vestal. The USS Vestal. I'm the repair ship here in the Azur Lane." Vestal also introduced herself

"It's nice to meet you, Vestal." Jasper said as he gets out of the bed.

"W-Wait! Where are you going!? You're injured!" She asks with worried eyes.

"I'm fine. Look." As Jasper turns around and unbuttons his shirt. Vestal widen her eyes to see the scars from Akagi's and Kaga's plane were gone.

"H-How...?" She asks. Jasper puts back his shirt.

"...No need to worry about it." As Jasper walks out of the patient room. Vestal follows and stays silent as she sees Jasper leaving the building.

 He looks outside to see that it is now at night.

"Damn...how long I've been knocked out?" Jasper asks. Jamie appears.

"About 7 hours." She said. Jasper widens his eyes.

"Oh...wow. Didn't think those things would put me out."

"What did you expect? Those planes were using real-life bullets. It's a good thing your Light shield took most of the damage." Jamie spoke. Jasper sighs.

"I know..." As Jasper walks along the hallway of the medical bay. He goes to the cafeteria and went inside. He sees broken glass on the floor and many messes on the place. He sighs.

"Need a broom?" Jamie asks.

"Yes, please." He answered. Then a broom appeared and he then takes 30 minutes of his time to clean up the place.

Cleveland and the other shipgirls returned from their nightly patrol. After saying goodbyes to each other. Cleveland walks along the base until she notices the cafeteria lights are on. Curious, she goes to the cafeteria. She peeks inside and sees Jasper cleaning up the place. She was surprised. Jasper felt her presence. He stops and looks at her.

"O-Oh, hello..." Jasper greeted. Cleveland still had some traumatic events pertaining to other commanders but mustered up her courage.

."H-Hello, Commander. Fancy meeting you here. What are you doing?" She asks.
