Noah's POV:

Me and Ali have been working on solving the murder for two days, and we got nothing. It's not looking so good to prove Ali's not the killer.

We figured out that the shoe tracks were from hiking boots, which Ali definitely does not have. The people killed had nobody that wanted to hurt them at all, which means it was revenge on them.

But who would want to get revenge on them?

I was snapped out of my thoughts when I got a call from Audrey. I blew out a breath and picked up the phone.

"Hey Audrey, what's up?" I asked, spinning my pen in my hand.

"We have a problem," Audrey said, sounding really upset. I leaned forward and put my elbows on the table. "Alastor is back."

"Oh," I said.

"What are we going to do? What am I going to do?" I heard her pacing around her room. "They probably here to kill all of us, right? I mean, they killed our girlfriends and constantly lies about it. Why else would they come back to Lakewood? They were away for three years and didn't contact any of us, so they couldn't get arrested. So many things could happen, so many possibilities-"

I interrupted her. "Okay, first of all, breathe. Yes there are a lot of possibilities, but, everything is going to be okay."

"How can you be so sure?" she asked, sounding worried.

"Well, what if Ali didn't kill all those people?"

"How could you even think that?" Audrey said angrily. "They are a killer and the police proved it! And you know it."

"Yeah... I guess," I mumbled.

I heard her sigh. "I don't even understand why you had to use their nickname either."

I almost smacked myself. "It just slipped out," I said. I had gotten in the habit of calling Alastair by their nickname.

"Whatever dude," Audrey grumbled. "We need to do something to make sure they aren't killing anyone."

"I don't think they will," I told her.

"How do you know that?"

"Anyways, I've got to go edit my podcast, bye!"

"Wait, but didn't you already-" I hung up before she finished talking.

I sighed, looking at my murder board.

Who would want to get revenge on Ali?

Two weeks ago, Kieran's POV:

I had just gotten into my cell when I looked up and saw the Brandon James killer above the box I was in.

"Hey, uh, I gotta use the restroom," I told the guard.

"Nope," he said. He turned around, and that was when the killer launched out from the top of my cell and twisted the guard's neck.

I stood agape as the killer took the keys and unlocked my cell. Yes, I was saved! I watched as the killer walked towards my cell and unlocked it. I walked out and stared at him.

"Alright, you kept your word. So are you gonna tell me who you are?" I asked, nodding my head once. I waited, and nothing.

Next thing I know, the killer slashed at my neck as I started rapidly bleeding out. I grasped my neck, which was currently in excruciating pain. I fell down onto my knees and onto the floor.

I tried moving my body towards the guard's gun, but I was too slow. The killer crouched over me and the last thing I felt was a sharp pain in the back of my neck before everything went black.

Present time, Noah's POV:

I sighed when me and Audrey walked up to Emma, Brooke and Stavo in the hallway. "Just another day in Murderville!" I said sarcastically.

Emma scoffed.

Brooke and Stavo stood close to each other. "Eight months of quiet, and now this."

Audrey looked over her shoulder and back at us. "I mean, if Halloween wasn't bad enough around here already, Keiran had to go and get himself murdered."

Emma rolled her eyes and I raised my eyebrows at Audrey. She gave me the what? look, and then we all looked at Emma. She shook her head.

"Guys, I don't care about Kieran, alive or dead," she said. "It's this, it's the press, it's Halloween. I really want out of Lakewood." She shoved past us and me and Audrey looked at each other before following.

"Uh, funny you should mention that," I told Emma, flanking her right while Audrey walked on her left. Emma gave me a weird look. "Our editor Jeremy is dragging us to Shallow Grove Island for some research. Which I'm sure is gonna be a colossal waste of time."

"Or inspiring," Stavo said from behind us, Brooke next to him. "He's renting us a mansion and paying for all of our expenses. Plus, it's the off-season, so we'll basically have the island to ourselves. Do I have any takers?"

Emma turned around. "Yes, yes, I am so down!"

"That's one," Stavo said. "Audrey?"

"Yeah?" She looked at him.

"You and Gina wanna come too?" He asked.

"Definitely," she said. "I mean, I'll ask her after school, but yeah, I'm in."

"Perfect," Stavo smiled, his arm draped around Brooke.

"Nice," she smiled back and walked off to class.
