Alastor's POV:

"Fuck me, why did I agree to do this?" I muttered under my breath, my anxiety skyrocketing.

"Because it will be good for you!" Noah exclaimed. "Now go kill this bitch!"

Just then, Audrey decided to walk up to me. I glared at her.

"I'm a little busy at the moment," I told her.

"I know, I just..." she sighed. "I wanted to apologize."

I scoffed. "And right now was the time you thought to?"

"I know, and I'm sorry," Audrey looked at the ground. "I just.. wanted to say that."

"Well thanks, I guess," I said, and Noah nudged me.

I flipped him off as I turned around to the dj. "What song would you like?" He asked.

"Could I get a backing track of just the bass and drums to I'm So Sick by Flyleaf?" I asked. I pointed to the red electric sterling guitar. "I'm gonna sing and play the guitar."

The dj gave me a wary look. "You sure? It's a pretty hard song..."

"I'm sure," I glared, and the dj shrugged.

"Just nod your head when you're ready," he said. I gave him a thumbs up and went to the cleared out floor area where I picked up the guitar on the stand and put the strap over my head, walking to the microphone.

"Hey all..." I trailed off as I saw Audrey watching me in the crowd near the right wall, and got an idea. "I was going to play I'm So Sick by Flyleaf, but there's been a change of plans. I'm gonna rock the shit out of Fuck About It by Waterparks and Blackbear," I said, and the crowd whooped. I nodded at the dj, and he nodded back as he counted down from three with his fingers to let me know when he is playing it.

Audrey's facial expression held shock with the song I was about to play, and I mentally sighed as I got another idea. Fuck you for cursing me with this, Noah.

"Extra dedication to that one girl I crushed on in Freshmen year who I always fought with," I yelled into the mic, and everyone whooped. I love teenage drunk crowds.

"I like you but I need some space

I like you kinda far away

It's not hard to kill a day

Lookin' at your face"

I looked at Audrey during that last line, and looked back at the crowd. I saw out of the corner of my eye that she had moved up into the crowd to get closer.

"I like you but I need some room

Been givin' me your attitude

It doesn't always stay that way

I hate the aftertaste"

I kept glancing at Audrey as I sang the verse, and she was standing there with her eyebrows raised and arms crossed. I felt confident as I haven't messed up the guitar chords yet and my singing was on key.

"I don't wanna leave you hangin' on

But when we fight, it's like a marathon

Give me three days, three days alone, yeah"

I sucked in a breath before I played the chorus, my goal being to maintain eye contact with Audrey the whole time. She started to make her way towards the front of the crowd as I started to sing the chorus.

"We can fuck about it later, if you want

It's all we ever really do when something's wrong 'cause you

You don't seem to like it when we talk

I guess I'll see you later, see you later"

We were staring at each other, her chugging her beer and throwing the cup on the floor before biting her lip. Jesus of Suburbia she's hot.

"We can fuck about it later, if you want

Because we never fix the problems that we've got, baby"

She started to walk on to the stage as I was singing the second part of the chorus, and I was confused as to what the hell she was doing.

You don't seem to like it when we talk

I guess I'll see you later, see you later, yeah"

Audrey grabbed the microphone off the stage and started to sing Blackbear's part of the song, and I stepped back to just play guitar.

"You've been at my crib for like the seventh day up in a row

You've been doing silly things like checking who I follow

I know you're waiting by the phone

But I just wanna be all alone tonight"

Holy shit, she's actually good. Really good...

Time seemed to slow as she came up to me and grabbed my face with her hand, continuing to sing the song and letting go once she sang the next line.

"And it's all right, I won't lie to you

But sometimes, when we fight

It's like scars on my wrist

When I think about the shit that we did to one another, baby"

I moved to the front of the stage and Audrey held the microphone out for the both of us as I sang the chorus again, her singing Blackbear's harmony parts.

"I don't wanna leave you hangin' on

But it's kinda hard to miss who's never gone

Give me three days, three days alone, yeah"

We both sang the bridge together, and I harmonized an octave up. She still held out the mic for the both of us.

"Sing it!" I yelled, and we burst into the chorus again as most the people in the crowd screamed the chorus with us. Me and Audrey split the last chorus.

"We can fuck about it later if you want," I looked at Audrey.

"It's all we ever seem to do if something's wrong, 'cause," she stared right back.

"You don't seem to like it when we talk," I flushed bright red as she got closer to my face, both of us singing the last line.

"I guess I'll see you later, see you later."

I was breathing heavily, trying to catch my breath as the drunken teenagers went wild. Thankfully, Audrey put the mic back and thanked everyone for the applause. I put the guitar back on the stand.

I quickly ran off the stage to find Noah, leaving Audrey behind.
