Petals on a rose

"Once again a guy has screwed over my life once more-
I've heard once that a person can die from a heartbreak- though I wish it could happen now,
Like petals on a rose and those sweet sun kissed drops,
Those dandelion wishes and those firefly lights,
Oh how I wish I could have those moments back in time,
To not have to suffer with that one person in my life.

Never have I ever felt so much rage, so much pain-
Feeling unstable, so broken, the shards all scattered,
But I always find it within me to forgive and to forget,
As I continue to suffer through your meaningless words and empty threats.

What more do I have to say?
'Why' is my main question- what could you possibly hope to gain?
To see someone suffer as you laugh at their pain?
Or to simply get what you want at the price of a heart without needing to pay-

Like petals on a rose- falling to its doom,
My love for you has died, withered away into the wind,
I don't care where it goes as you never cared for me,
All I have to say is 'goodbye' for this is the last time we will meet.

I hope you see this awful mess that you've created,
Or to see the monster you've become,
You were never my knight in shining armour and I was never your damsel in distress,
Not in this lifetime or the next-

I now promise you this- that you'll be the last to make me cry,
The last to hurt my heart-
I never want to hear your wonderful lies,
Or to see your stupid smile,
You're lifeless to me to that of a ghost,
Haunting my memories making the most,
You're empty presence filling the void-
As I question myself, wondering 'how did I let my heart be toyed?'

I have nothing left to say-
Nothing but to sit and ponder and look up at the dull sky,
Until it dawns on me that-
"fool me once, shame on you"
"Fool me twice, shame on me".

A note from me :

I'd like to take a moment for all the girls out there that are sitting in silence wondering if the guy likes you or not- trust me, just don't bother with him
If he truly cared, he would at the very most treasure you like he found the secrets to the worlds- it's not worth running back to get your heart taken out of your chest and stabbed relentlessly until its unrecognisable
There are guys out there that are far more worth your time than a guy who is only there for his own benefits-
Down fall down the rabbit hole I did, you don't need a man right now to tell you that you're beautiful and that you deserve the world, he's right when he says that you deserve so much more better than him so as soon as he says that, just pick up your stuff and take your leave because that could just be your sign to go before you get severely hurt. And one more thing, if your friends tell you or sense that the guy is no good for you, take their advice, observe what he does, he could be hiding more than you know
