Chapter 6

Team 7 were waiting in the Hokage's office, they had asked for their very first C ranked mission. Hiruzen was deep in thought. Seeing as how strong Naruto was, and with Kakashi there, he didn't seem to mind them getting a better mission. There's also the fact that Sasuke and Sakura have slowly been improving in strength, so he thought this could be a good way to measure their progress. With a nod, he threw a mission scroll at Kakashi, then motioned his secretary to bring him the client. Fifteen minutes later, the smell of alcohol permeated the air. In walked in an old man who appeared in his forties. He wore glasses and had an unimpressed look in his dark grey eyes.
"Is this the protection I asked for? It's just a bunch of kids, they look like they couldn't hurt a fly!"
At this both Sakura and Sasuke were going to attack the old man, when Kakashi sent them a stern look. He then turned his attention on the client. "Ma ma, no need to insult our ninja, especially since I'm also coming with. You'll be fine Mr. ?"
"Tazuna, Master Bridge Builder. I expect you to offer me super protection!"
Nodding in acceptance, he ordered his team to meet at the the main gate. He also ordered them to bring enough equipment to last at least two weeks.
An hour later Sakura and Sasuke were waiting for Tazuna, Kakashi, and Naruto to arrive.
Meanwhile Naruto was waiting on top of the gate, watching his teammates. A half an hour later, Tazuna arrived, so now they were waiting for Kakashi's arrival. Two and a half hours later, Kakashi appeared before them in a swirl of leaves. As Sakura was about to scold him for being late, She felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand up. As she turned around, Naruto appeared in a flash of lightning, and stood before her in a resounding boom of thunder. Staring with cold blue eyes as he watched her from underneath his helmet. She just shook her head at how her teacher and other teammate were. With that, team 7 plus Tazuna made there way to The Land of Waves. As they were walking, Naruto and Kakashi noticed a puddle of the side of the road. Sighing internally at how obvious the genjutsu was they just pretended to not notice. As they walked by the puddle a couple of people jumped Kakashi, wrapping him in a chain made of razor wire. With a tug they "ripped" Kakashi to shreds. While they had their backs turned momentarily, Naruto kicked one into a tree, and sliced the others head clean off with his spear. Seeing his brother die, the other ninja raced towards Naruto in a righteous fury. Naruto just front kicked the guy in the face, stunning him long enough to stab him through his ribs on the left side. Piercing his heart and lungs. He promptly collapsed dead to the ground.
It was at this time Naruto looked at Sakura and Sasuke. Sakura look horrified and disgusted. Sasuke was a little uncomfortable, but was able to hide it better. Sakura simply yelled at Naruto.
"What the hell Naruto! Why did you do that!"
"What? Oh you mean why did I kill them?"
Sakura nodded now feeling like she wasn't going to like Naruto's answer.
"We'll you see, he was an enemy, so as my duty as a shinobi, and because the mission says I have to, I slaughtered them in order to protect the client."
Sakura was surprised at how calm Naruto was in his explanation. Then she just nodded in acceptance then backed away from Naruto. It was then Naruto looked up over his shoulder at one of the trees. "You can come out Kakashi, fun's over!" In a plume of smoke & leaves, Kakashi appeared by Tazuna, gripping his shoulder really hard. Gasping in pain, Tazuna turned to the offending hand only to shake in fear. Kakashi was eye smiling down at him, but he could feel the anger radiating from him. So deciding on doing the smart thing, Tazuna came clean on why he lied about the mission parameters.
"Well seeing how our client lied, protocol dictates that we head back, but..." Everyone looked at him, with slight wonder. "We would be knowingly turning our backs on someone in need, so I will put it to a vote. Shall we return home, or continue the mission?"
"We should keep going." came Sasuke's short reply. Sakura nodded stiffly, and smiled. Tazuna was relieved at the sudden change of heart, until he asked, " Hey! What about Blondie, aren't you gonna ask him too?"
Naruto just shrugged, " Guess they just know me better than I thought. I would have continued regardless of what they said." Tazuna just nodded in gratitude, then the group marched on to Wave Country.
Team 7 arrived at a large body of water. Waiting for them was a boat to ferry them across. As soon as they made it onto the water, the fog became increasingly thick. Naruto could sense the fog being laced with chakra, and used a Wind Jutsu. "Wind Style : Great Breakthrough!" Clearing the fog Kakashi relaxed a little knowing that he could see a little more. On the other shore Team 7 with Tazuna made their way towards his house. Naruto was listening to the sounds of the forest that surrounds The Land of Waves. The birds were chirping, and the wind blowing. All of a sudden something was coming towards them silencing the noise as it sped it's way towards them.
"Hit the floor, NOW!"
Naruto drug Tazuna to the ground as he ducked under a giant blade. Team 7 followed suit. When the blade passed over them, Team 7 grabbed Tazuna, and leapt away from the mammoth blade. As soon as the did Naruto recognized the blade, and the one who was standing on it. Pulling out his spear, Naruto signaled to Kakashi to stay out of the fight and defend the client. Kakashi nodded and ordered Sakura and Sasuke to surround Tazuna.
"Well. If it isn't Kakashi of the Sharingan, and a group of green genin. Ha ha ha ha! This'll be easier than I thought, how about you make it even easier for me, and hand over the bridge builder." Said the man on the sword. He was as tall as Kakashi, had no shirt, navy camouflage pants, sandals, and bandages wrapped around the lower half of his face.
"Oh, I know who you are. Your Zabuza. The Demon of The Hidden Mist. Master of the silent killing technique. Unfortunately I can't just hand you the bridge builder."
"I was hoping you would say that."
Suddenly the area was weighted down by killing intent. The only ones not affected were Naruto and Kakashi. Sasuke and Sakura shivered and went down on one knee, respectively. Zabuza suddenly conjured more mist and tried appearing behind Team 7. He would've gotten away with it too, if a stronger deadlier presence hadn't made itself known.
Naruto stood before them, a red shroud with nine tails of chakra thrashing wildly behind him, coating him in a raging inferno. The pressure of the chakra that he was emitting blew away the mist. The wind howled, and clawed at the trees, uprooting some, throwing them into oblivion. Storm clouds brewed over head crackling with lightning. The ocean behind him was raging. Waves ripping apart the land, crushing both rocks and trees alike. Then a wave of killing intent so intense, it made everyone's life flash before their eyes. Tazuna was rendered comatose from the pressure. Sakura was babbling in gibberish. Terror in her eyes. Sasuke was frozen in fear. Kakashi was brought down both knees. Finally, poor Zabuza had it the worst. Since the killing intent was aimed at him, he was curled in a ball, puking up blood. He was seizing, screaming in pain at the killing intent trying to crush him to death. As soon as it came the pressure stopped. The storm raged on around them but they were in the center of the proverbial hurricane, and quite literally as well. Team 7 went behind Naruto, carrying a groggy and sick Tazuna with them. As soon as Zabuza stood to face Naruto, the storm rushed to erase his existence. Zabuza was shitting himself out of fear. He had faced an angry Jinchuriki before, but that had been with Yagura, and the Sanbi. He quickly understood why the Kyuubi was considered king of the Bijuu. The nine tails Jinchuriki was a literal walking disaster. He tried to run but was swept of his feet by an extreme strong gust of wind. It sent him tumbling through the air crashing through the forest. He felt a stinging sensation. He looked up and saw a bolt of light coming towards him. Unable to react in time, the lightning struck him. It burned him, sent spasms throughout his body, and blew him back towards Team 7. He was them slammed against a large oak tree as wave after wave of seawater were crushing his ribs. An earthquake ripped through the land, tearing the land apart, and Naruto slowly walked towards Zabuza. He hung his head awaiting his inevitable end. If it weren't for a sharp pain in his neck, after which he blacked out. Naruto stood there, letting the chakra recede into his body. He watched carefully as a Mist Hunter Nin grabbed Zabuza's body and take off with it. He smirked knowingly. He turned back towards his team, who were all dumbfounded, absolutely speechless at the display of absolute raw power, and intimidating presence. He just shrugged and walked towards Tazuna. After talking to the bridge builder, he led them the way towards his house. After meeting Tsunami, Tazuna's daughter, and his grandson Inari.
When everyone got settled in, Naruto grabbed everyone's attention.
" Zabuza is alive."
