Naruto awoke to semi darkness. Dawn was barely rising. The air was quiet and calm. With supernatural stealth, he made his way out of bed, and got ready for the day. It was 5 o'clock, and he got some breakfast out of a seal. He prepared it last night, so he can get some extra training in.
He was now 13 years old, He stood at 5'5" and weighed about 175 pounds of pure, lean, powerful muscle. His hair was shoulder length. His whiskers had faded to the point you can only see them in certain lighting. That's if you can see him without his face mask on. He had taken after Kakashi lately, who could not have been prouder. He is now perpetually late to anything except the following: High ranking missions(which he hasn't done yet), Ichiraku Ramen, Council meetings if he has been summoned, and to team training (if you can convince him that he needs it, though sometimes you'll find him training anyways). He had his armor on, his spear strapped to his back. He had a dagger hidden in his tassels on his armor. He sported a six pack that was covered by a breastplate. His arm guards were covered in storage seals. That's right, he has been studying fuinjutsu in his spare time and was now a level 10 seals master. His appetite for sealing knowledge, coupled with his ability to make a thousand or two shadow clones, he sped his way through all of what his parents had left him. He was now currently working on The Flying ThunderGod Technique, except he was adding a couple twists to make it even better. He was going to see if he can get it to stick in the water, and the air. Also instead of the normal flashing that comes with the jutsu, it will be replaced by after images. It'll be more deceiving for whoever crosses his path, and has pushed him to use it.
Anyways, he does his training, gets cleaned up, and lazily makes his way over to the academy, mask on, little orange book, and covered from head to toe in heavy, high quality armor. When he got there, he was only a half hour late.
"Mr. Uzumaki! Can you tell me why you are late? Again?!"
"We'll you see, I got some early training in, and I was coming hear after, but a black cat crossed my path, and I had to take the path of life around the village, where an old lady needed my help carrying groceries up to her home, which was at the top of a big mountain, after which I finally made my way here." He was simple reading his book, while everyone had a massive sweatdrop on the backs of their heads.
The teacher just deadpanned, and just told Naruto to sit down, and get ready for the exams. Naruto made his way over to the seat next to Sasuke's. He saw his classmates, Ino, Sakura, and Hinata all staring at him, so he winked making a peace sign. To which made the aforementioned people blush at being caught staring. With that, he got ready with the written test. He dispelled a very weak genjutsu placed on his paper, then sped through the answers, and turned his paper in. After an hour of waiting the students all waited outside for the taijutsu portion of the exams. He just stared of into space through most of the spars, but a few caught his attention, those being, Sasuke, Hinata, Kiba, and Shino. It was his turn though, so he didn't have time to think on it much. He focused back on what was happening. He saw that his opponent was Mizuki. He could sense a deep seated anger barring its fangs at him. So he decided to let lose for once. When Mizuki made to throttle him, Naruto disappeared in a blur. He reappeared behind him in a few seconds and whispered into the offending chunin's ear ,"you are much to weak to face the likes of me." Mizuki turned to look at Naruto, but it was too late. Naruto slugged Mizuki so hard he heard his fist crack his jaw. With that Mizuki flew out of the ring, into the side of the school, unconscious. Everyone looked at Mizuki in shock, then at Naruto in slight fear. To which he eyesmiled, waved ate everyone lazily, then pulled his book out. Which resulted in another massive sweatdrop from everyone.
Everyone went inside for the final portion of the exams: jutsu. Everyone was called one at a time. Going in alphabetical order by last name. As usual Naruto was last. "Ok Naruto, all you have to do is substitution, henge, and at least three convincing clones, with a jutsu of your choice for a bonus."
With a nod of his head Naruto switched places with the substitution technique, in his stead being a small log. After he switched back he made four shadow clones. He henged himself into Madara Uchiha, the first clone into Hashirama Senju , the second clone into Tobirama Senju, the third into Hiruzen Sarutobi, and the fourth into the Minato Namikaze.
His bonus jutsu was the fireball jutsu.
Seeing that Naruto did exceptionally well, he got the highest marks in class. So when Naruto got a headband, everyone was low key surprised when he walked in with one on his head. With that, Iruka walked into the classroom and gave a speech on what being a shinobi entailed. Naruto tuned him out.
After he was told to come back to class in a week for team announcements, he shunshinned out of class, only a few people noticing his sudden disappearance. Naruto made his way to Ichiraku. He went in, ordered two pork tonkatsu ramen, then made his way to the Hokage Tower. He made his way up, reading his little orange book. He knocked, and heard someone say "Come in." Naruto opened the door and saw The Hokage, Kakashi, and a bunch of other Jonin in the office talking about which teams they were getting. Naruto just shrugged nonchalantly and sat on one of the couches reading his book. Hearing someone clear their throat, Naruto looked up to see a female Jonin, with black hair and red eyes glaring at him.
Naruto went back to his book, and calmly said, "Hmm, you must be Kurenai, am I correct?" Naruto felt the air shift in the room, and faster than anyone could see, Naruto appeared on the other side of the room. Upside down. Floating in the air. Sitting lotus style. Reading his book. Kurenai had punched the air where he had been. "WHERE DID HE GO!"
Naruto chuckled out loud. Everyone snapped their heads up, and looked over with clear shock and awe on there faces. The Hokage could be heard laughing loudly. Banging his hand on his desk, mirth and joy in his eyes, as clear as day. Embarrassed, the now mentioned Kurenai returned to where she was in the first place. As time went on The Hokage asked why Naruto was here, to which he responded, "Well you see Jiji..."
"Hey! Treat Hokage-sama with respect you damned brat!" A random jonin shouted. Outraged by how this brat treated their beloved leader.
"It's quite alright, he's been calling me that for at least eight years now. Try not to interrupt me while I'm questioning someone. Got it, Jonin?" The Hokage started out amused, but got more stern as he went on.
The jonin in question nodded quickly, not wanting to anger The Hokage. Satisfied, Hiruzen motioned Naruto to proceed with his explanation. "Like I was saying, Seeing as how I just graduated, at the top of the class too, I brought the both of us some ramen to celebrate!" At this everyone except the Hokage, and Kakashi sweatdropped at the reason. The Hokage nodded at this, then continued his discussion about the genin teams. When he did so the sweatdrops got bigger. Half an hour everyone left to prepare for the end of the week. As soon as the last person left. That just left Naruto, the Hokage, and Kakashi in the office. Naruto unsealed the ramen, and made a couple shadow clones. He henged them into chopsticks, then gave one bowl of ramen to Hiruzen, the other he kept. The Hokage was trying to eat and do paperwork at the same time, but Naruto got a little annoyed at the shoddy attempt. With a start, Naruto spoke up. "Ya know Jiji, I've been wondering why you don't use shadow clones to do paperwork for you. That way you can enjoy your ramen, or can train to keep your skills sharp."
Silence. Not a word was uttered. The Hokage put the ramen off to the side, and started smacking his head into his desk muttering how stupid he was. After a couple of minutes of punishment, the Hokage made a shadow clone, gave it the paperwork and started to dig into the ramen. Naruto smirked and continued to eat his own ramen. After they were done, Kakashi, and Naruto said their goodbyes to the old kage. They made their way back to the house, and trained for the day.
A week later, Naruto and Kakashi lazily made their way to their academy to pick up their team. When they got there. The only two left in class were Sakura, and Sasuke. When the two saw them, Sakura, started yelling at them. "Why are you two so late! You should have been here three hours ago! Well? Out with it!!"
Naruto and Kakashi quietly read there little orange books. Thirty seconds later, Naruto said, " You say something Sakura?" Sasuke huffed in amusement, used to Naruto's and Kakashi's attitude by now. Sakura however huffed in annoyance.
"My first impression of you two? Your both boring. Meet me on the roof in five." Kakashi called out. Then both he and Naruto flickered up to the roof and waited, whilst they read their books still. Five minutes later, both Sakura and Sasuke appeared on top of the roof. They sat down opposite of Kakashi and Naruto, and waited for further instructions. Kakashi put his book away, then asked, "Well then. Now that we're all here, why don't we introduce ourselves to get to know each other better as a team?"
"Why don't you go first, so we know what to do?" said Sakura. Kakashi lazily sighed then replied, " Very well, Let's see here. I'm Kakashi Hatake, I'm an Elite Jonin. My likes? You don't need to know. Dislikes, lots of things. Hobbies? Don't know. Dreams for the future? Haven't thought about it."
Sakura and Sasuke sweatdropped. The only thing they learned about him was his name. "Ok, you next pinky."
Sakura huffed at her new nickname, then introduced herself. "My name is Sakura Haruno, I like Sasuke-kun, I hate Ino-pig, my hobbies are reading, my dreams for the future. Hehehe..." she got a nose bleed, with a dreamy look in her eyes. Everyone had a huge sweatdrop on the back of their heads.
"Ok... I guess your next Sasuke." Sasuke hnned then proceeded to introduce himself. "My name is Sasuke. Uchiha, Sasuke. I don't like a lot of things, I dislike most things. My dream for the future? To surpass my brother." Everyone nodded at that.
Everyone then looked at Naruto. When he felt everyone staring at him he looked up from his book. Everyone looked at him, waiting for his introduction. He sighed then put his book away.
"I guess it's my turn. My name is Naruto N. Uzumaki. I like Kakashi, Jiji, Fugaku-San, Hiashi,-San, Shikaku, and training. I dislike those who judge others without knowing who they really are. My hobbies are training, reading, and every once in a while, eating ramen. My dream is to become the greatest Hokage of all time." Everyone except Kakashi were surprised by how passionate Naruto had been at the end.
Clapping his hands together, Kakashi's got everyone's attention. "Alright everyone, I suppose I get to tell you to come to training ground 7 at 6 a.m. for a survival test."
"Didn't we already do those in the academy?" Asked Sakura?
"True as that may be, this time I'll be your opponent. Oh, and don't eat tomorrow. You might throw up. Ja ne!" With that Kakashi disappeared in a swirl of leaves. Naruto hopped on the rail on the edge of the roof and fell backwards. Racing forward in a panic, Sakura and Sasuke saw Naruto walking away like it was nothing. He looked back at them, then in a clap of thunder, disappeared without a trace.
